METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Its a real shame this game has no MEMEORABLE title theme...
theres a good things missing/wrong with MGSV..and one for me is the soundtrack..its REALLY hard for me to not go...Man...remember MGS3' title theme?

where as in this game we get....WRRRRRR WRRRR WRRRR WRRRR WRRRR WRRRR

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5105DeorjrY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Jw6y7SW3a8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKSkJpODOuc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ATzz3AhyH4

i'm not gonna complain about the soundtrack of MGSV...because its been 2 years ...nothing i can do..and i've just gotten used to not really hearing the music over the game audio

but....man...those theme ...those themes

(yes i'm aware when you start a new game you have hospital beeping as the title "music"..and NO i'm not counting "the man who sold the world" as the title music since you hear it once..every other session...WRRRRR WRRRR WRRR WRRR WRRRRRR

The only song that matters in any of the soundtracks is Snake Eater anyway.

...the only song that can stand up to MGSV soundtrack...

Sorry Excal. We're talking about a game that's starting with "The Man Who Sold the World".

And then there's a chance to roll over someone in a tank while listening to "Take on Me".

So yeah bro. No backing off. MGSV OST is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beast.

MGSV original soundtrack is very bland indeed
The tapes which contains music from the 80s doesn't even count, I'm talking about original stuff like the epic Alert theme and Boss themes from MGS1, every section from MGS1 had incredible soundtrack, Mantis is another crazy epic one

From MGSV I can only remember the mirror scene from the very ending of the game, Archea Metallic is pretty good and the one from Shining Lights Even in Death is okay as well, but not even close to great/epic soundtracks like the older games.
Hell, this game doesn't even have the original Metal Gear theme

you took the words right outta my mouth..songs that already exist and have for years don't make it a good OST...the lack of ORIGINAL songs and music is the sad part

To be fair I forgot that MGSV theme would be Sins of the Father which is absolute incredible just like the other themes, but too bad they didn't put in on the game aside from a pointless jeep ride to waste time and in form of a tape.
It would be cool if the main menu would be Sins of the Father instead of helicopter noise.
Quiet's theme as well is cool so for me at least MGSV soundtrack is better than MGS2.

MGSV: Best OST hands down--

A Phantom Pain - Ludvig Forssell
"..but if i reach out there to hold you, every part that's real disappears..."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlp8GimssgI

V Has Come To - Ludvig Forssell
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfoPrNmriqo

and one of my personal favorites:

How 'Bout Them Zombies, Ey? - Ludvig Forssell
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpRDbzsmmPs

I liked the atmospheric and ambient feel of MGSV's OST more than the others. But you know music is subjective preference more than anything.

The only song in the entire series (of the ones I've played) worth listening to. Snake Eater was a kick @$$ song. As it should have been, because I can't imagine climbing that stupid ladder not listening to a kick @$$ song.

Thread creator, you fail to see that mgsv is supposed to have the most serious tone which is why themes like the encounter from metal gear solid 1 wouldn't work.
