That's a non-issue. Ocelot had an arm transplant in 2007. How is Big Boss having an actual arm in 2014 a surprise? The technology clearly exists and is highly applicable in that universe.

Thats because Big Boss was during the Cold War and Cuba crisis in hiding. Venom Snake is the Medic from the Blown out helicopter in the start of MGS:GZ. He takes a shrapnel in the head to save Snake, who then proceeds in brainwashing and physically altering the man to think that he is the Big Boss himself. All are in the plan, Ocelot knew you werent Big Boss, and so did many other leaders.

Also, The Boss AI thats in the computer in one of the hangars, is repeatedly saying "Jack, is that you?" and sometimes repplying "No, just a shade" Implying in Venom snake being the phantom of Naked snake. During this time, REAL big boss is hiding from the people wanting to kill him, and building his plan to find the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo.

BIG SPOILER, if you havent played original Metal Gear (Metal Gear) for NES, in the end when youre destroying Outer Heaven as Solid Snake, you actually kill ROGUE Venom snake. This games protagonist.

it wasnt regular science in the game universe. It was a massive project to inject Liquid Snakes arm into Ocelots hand, costing billions from the Lalilulelos money.

The thing is Ocelots arm transplant was one-time-thing, made by the greatest scientist in MGS universe. No one else couldve done it, hence, Venom snake wouldnt have arm transplant.

after MGS5's ending, Venom snake goes rogue. He builds Outer Heaven (a single nation with nuclear warheads, with a powerful army, a "heaven" for soldiers) and Metal Gear's main protagonist Solid Snake is sent to kill leader of Outer Heaven, Venom snake.
