METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

[SOLVED] Unplayable on High end PC. (Dual Monitors)
[EDIT: SOLVED]
It started working once I used my other Monitor. I somehow had the game running on the wrong Card. All I did was set the monitor that was connected to the 1070 as my primary and duplicated the screen to my other monitor.

Hi! I bought this game yesterday and started having problems immediatley. Whenever I would launch the game. It would always have a low framerate. I have made sure to update my Nvidia driver and restart the computer. I even lowered the graphics settings to the lowest it could go and no change.
This is the only game I own that has ever had this problem. I am able to run Skyrim, Witcher 3, and Fallout 4 at a constant 60 fps. I have also tried reinstalling the game and that did nothing.

Here are my specs:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz

Video Card Intel(R) HD Graphics 530

Video Card #2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

RAM 8.0 GB

Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 (build 14393), 64-bit

could be that game uses your integrated graphic, try setting it up in Nvidia settings and force the MGSV to use PCi GPU

have you tried "fullscreen" instead of default "borderless fullscreen"?

Disable shadowplay, zam.

do a Cont+Alt+ Del - enter Task Manager - click tab to show Processes From All Users check the list for "SVHOST.EXE". Check to see if one of these entries is sucking all of your CPU time - Right Click and select "end process"

This is the most likely culprit.

Go into the nvidia control panel and under Manage 3D Settings, set Preferred graphics processor to High-performance Nvidia processor.

All I get is the Global Settings and Program Settings tabs. I'm guessing you mean OpenGL Rendering GPU.
My tower has the default hdmi port and my added 1070 port. One screen connected to each. Is this how PC Junkies do it or are you supposed to connect both screens to the 1070?

both to the 1070
