Why am I in offline mode?

Iv'e been in offline mode since yesterday and I can't see a "go online" option when I press select?

There are times when you'll be disconnected out of nowhere and won't be able to reconnect for a while.

At that point I just give up.

Ok I turned my mods off and it seems to be working now. Guess it doesn't like my mods :s

Well speaking for myself here, with the latest update all my mods still worked fine, however ReShade wasn't allowing me to go online until I removed it from my game. RIP beautiful ReShade.

Ok it's not working again. I tried uninstalling a bunch of mods but it doesn't seem to want to work now at all.

The only one I didn't try uninstalling was infinite Heaven(too lazy as it takes the longest to uninstall) but I uninstalled all the other mods and it seems it still wasn't working, I booted the game with mods off and it logged in fine.


Guess one of my mods needs to be updated as it seems like they're just completely removing the option to go online if you have mods on...I wish this game wasn't so hostile to mods but it's obvious that Konami just sees this game as a cash cow for micro transactions.

check to see if mgsv is blocked in firewall settings. you never know

Mods have nothing to do with connectivity, like I said, the game will refuse to connect online at times, the most I've lasted was 8 hours of failing to stablish a connection.

Wrong. Some mods can actually cause connectivity issues until they have been updated, though usually it's extremely rare for them to do this, and generally they will just either crash the game or won't work, but on the odd occasion they can actually give connectivity issues and force people to play offline. And this is known from my own experience.

Out of curiosity how are you installing/uninstalling mods? It shouldn't be tedious at all. If you're using snakebite it's quick and easy, even for IH, and you shouldn't need to redo all your settings for IH either if you uninstall/reinstall it.

IH just takes a long time lol. Fine i'll uninstall just IH and report back.
