METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Heroism meter - what does gaining a heroism level mean?
I've been capping out my heroism meter at least once - likely twice - and so it starts over again, and it looks like it's ten times bigger now.
I know that heroism makes me more popular and the recruits better. ...but does capping out the meter give me any particular benefit?

It represent of your morale with soldiers. The higher you heroism is, more and few soldier stat increse(B-S++) when you fulton them in mission or got reward of them.

at the very early stage it influences the amount (only amount, not stats/skills) of volunteers. no benefits after reaching 150..200k (hero achievement and status).
You both described to me what HEROISM is. I made it clear that I already understood what heroism is. I was instead asking about what capping out one of those growing circular blobs mean, when it begins over again from a little dot. What does THAT mean? Just nothing? Is the meter just badly designed?

cosmetic stuff, like the horn and blood for demonism.

With 150k heroism you can invade people with nukes without owning a nuke :)

It's a physical representation of you being a good person in-game (ie. not killing people, saving animals/prisoners, etc.), and is mostly cosmetic. Its only use is that if you get enough heroism, you'll be classified as a "Hero" and you can invade nuclear-equipped FOBs in the pseudo-multiplayer mode.

Basically just another heroism "rank", where it gets more likely to find better staff on the field or as volunteers.

I know for certain that that's not it, because I've seen the transition from at least C, to A++ soldiers, during the growing of the heroism blob. That's the heroism points themselves that's doing that, not capping heroism out. However, it's possible that it signifies me starting to find S rank soldiers now. (I haven't played much since I capped.)

once again - heroism does not relate to rank of the soldiers. you won't get a single s-rank in the field (or as volunteer) until your combined motherbase unit level reaches 280.
