I am, but either addons say things like 'install snakebite to use this' and I don't know if I can install snakeite via the NMM
or things like
'In the "0" folder of the "master" folder in your game directory, replace your 00.dat with the one in the download, making sure to back up your old one. If using a modded 00.dat, you'll need to use something like MGSV QAR to combine everything together. More instructions on that included with the download, as well as how to recreate the mod yourself. The specific file modified within 00.dat is something called EquipParameters.lua under Assets > Tpp > level_asset > weapon > ParameterTables > parts, or, for unlimited items, EquipParameterTables.lua under Assets > Tpp > level_asset > weapon > ParameterTables.'
which goes RIGHT over my head.
Help?
Here; here's the NMM thread I made:
https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5799392-exception-length-cannot-be-less-than-zero/
You should be able to go into Snakebite settings. In the settings, it should show the path to MGSV itself. For most people it's C:ProgramFilesx86/Steam/SteamApps/Common/MGS_TPP
What does it say for you? Does it show the path to the game or something else?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\MGS_TPP
Here's what you need to do.
Uninstall snakebite [located in appdata\snakebite\], then go to your library, right click on MGSV and select properties > local files > verify integrity of cache and wait for steam to revalidate your MG installation.
Next, download snakebite 0.8.6a from here[www.nexusmods.com].
Set up snakebite, locate mgsvtpp.exe, usually located on C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\MGS_TPP, and done.
To install mods, go to the MODS option of snakebite and locate the .MGSV file you want to install.
