I have no interest in Survive
I realy hope MG survive will suffer a massive commercial failure to the point Konami will reconsider their future in the gaming industry. At the same time, I wish the best for the new Kojima studio and their new IP.
But using backup is not hard.
First, right click MGSV in your library and select "Properties".
Go to the "Updates" tab and check off Steam Cloud.
Then, go to C:\Program Files\Steam\userdata\(your user number)
Select folders 287700 and 311340 (these are your save files), cut and paste them to your desktop.
Now, since the save files is not in Steam folder, the game will start anew when you boot your game.
When you want to play your old save, just put the old folders on your destop back to Steam folder.
Alternatively, you can try this http://www.nexusmods.com/metalgearsolidvtpp/mods/468/?
Not sure would it work though.
I havw some interest in Survive. I like the idea of using MGSV's mechanics to make a Zombie survival based game, but I think the one thing people have to do when thinking about the game at all is to remove the metal gear brand from the game itself, which is the best course of action.
Basically judge the game for what it is than judge it from the context for which is spawned off from.
