Actually there were 2 digital novels produced available for the psp, same anime style from MGS1 and added interactivity to the stories

watch the anime movie "Spriggan". Its a good movie and resembles mgs a lot in many ways. Its not inspired by mgs, as the manga is from the 80s

Spriggan was great. Wish they'd do more of the series, though. That movie only really covers one short arc of it.
