this is an old screenshot, lazy to get a new one but you get the picture, I still have Code Talker in my Medical Team and unit level is 128 there (132 now I think)

Yeah, my units are all around lv 100, most are 100 or 101 with combat being 112, but combat S++ are somewhat easy to come by if you can find an inactive cheater FOB. Active cheaters on the other hand, that's a different story. I took 25 S++ from one of them and he just came and took them all back by getting to my core, so...... The inactive ones are the best to find, but you never know who is active and who isn't.
Edit: with all S Rank except maybe 5, Security is at 97. I don't think you can break 100 with just S Rank you need that S+ and S++ to really boost it up.
2nd Edit: Although, I do know at least one person that farms S++ on a daily basis from FOBs and goes up a level or two per day where I don't farm S++, I only go after them if the opportunity presents itself.

:-D
way to go off-topic rofl
Nor do I. LOL Although I found a way to tank my espg rank in just a few FOB runs. I found them easier to find in a middle low rank than in the upper ranks. Once it goes full yellow with the diamond in the center they're harder to find. At least that has been my experience anyway, so I tanked my espg and have been farming lower levels for resources to complete my 3rd FOB.
Apparently a lot of people tanked their ESPG ranks before stopping playing. Makes sense, less likely to be attacked with a mid to higher level FOB amongst the low ranked.
You had me thinking about how that works and I think it's a lot more simple than it may seem. Hopefully I can do the logic some justice.
There are 10 ranks
S++
S+
S
A++
A+
A
B
C
D
E
That is 100% of the whole, so to speak. Each rank takes up 10% of the whole. (When thinking about the whole, think the rank bar,) Maximum is 100.
Within each rank you notice your bar could be higher or lower even though they're the same Rank. That is because each rank is broken down even further ranging from 1-10 in each rank, 10 being the max for each individual rank. When they hit 11 instead of being Rank E10, they're now Rank D1.
Something like this....
D1
E10
E9
E8
E7
E6
E5
E4
E3
E2
E1
You get the picture.....
so taking this to the S ranks. Because Security just gets my combat Unit left overs they're all lower ranked S's, Probably ranging S1-S3, although I'd have to look at it to see how many times it increase step throughout the entire Security Team, but that's really beside the point.
If you have mostly S8-S10 and I have mostly S1-S3, even though we have the same amount of staff in the unit, then your unit will still be a higher level than mine.
After really thinking about this, I'm sure that is how they have it structured.
Yes, I think way too much. :)
yeah now I remember, at that time unit levels were caped at 132, will upload new one
edit: here you go
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=870893890
and here are my numers per ranks, not sure how those lower guys showed up tho
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=870908468
as you see Support Team is lower now as I switch around S++ staff to meet the reqirements for development of hight grade stuff
Depending on number of FOB's you have it varies, I have 4 which makes it 3500 peaople, that's 350 direct contracts
For me that's reserved for S+ or higher female staff members and some other great soldiers like all S++ prosthetic mobility guys which are best soldiers you can have in this game.
But when you get to this point where I'm at and if someone comes and steals 10 S++ from me, it is not really a big deal, I can even make up for that with FOB rewards as my sky high heroism means I get S+ and S++ all the time when I play FOB's.
Plus with my top security it is very less likely someone would do that and get away with it, S++ soldiers cannot miss a shot and grade 10 machine gun shreads everything, S++ guards are very fast plus with grade 11 battle dress they can take hell worth the damage.
And those high grade mines are nasty, same goes for grenades who appear to impact damage of mortars, and with S++ firing a mortar, it just rains ♥♥♥♥ all day
And those are some of my worst S++ in my security, ones that have S++ only as combat skill
Plus people cannot really take only your top level staff from units, it is RNG based after they reac the core so sometimes I lose 0 S++, sometimes it's 7, but with game as active as it is now I would not worry about getting your stuff stolen, it happens so rare that you can cover it up in no time
maximum is 512. grades are:
1-15=e
16-31=d
32-47=c
48-63=b
64-79=a
80-109=a+
110-184=a++
185-289=s
290-447=s+
448-512=s++
(you can check the exact numeric value for any staff member within "combat deployment"/"customize unit" section)
regarding the unit level thresholds: "pts to next level" value increases with level increasing, slightly in the range of 1..68 and greater in the range 69..133. lvl 133 is kinda milestone, after reaching it further growth goes faster, since the difference between levels is halved.
Tanking your ESPG obviously helps. I tanked mine a few days ago and haven't been attacked since when I was getting 1-2 per day. If you're a mid to high level on your FOB, but you've tanked your ESPG rank, you show up in the low rank crowd who's not going to try to take on someone who's level 40 or higher when there are so many in the teens that are just freely up for grabs.
