Is there an anti-cheat now?
I've heard a long time ago that the PC version online is a hack-fest. Is it still infested with cheaters or does it have an anti-cheat now?

No. The only way cheaters are banned is if players manually report them; and whether Konami bans them comes down to a case-by-case basis. Since it's PC, getting hacks is very easy so there are still many PF and FOB cheaters.

Dang. I can't and won't pay a monthly fee to play one game online (console), but hackers and such... dang.

Well, thanks for the info anyways.

Let me get this straight. You are asking if there are cheaters on the PC forum of the game to decide if you are gonna play it or not on the console because of the "fee to play one game online (console)". Is this it?

No, I want to play on PC but already have it on console (unfortunately I cannot aim worth crap on console anymore), and I want to get this info earlier so I won't get my hopes up.

The cheating is mostly insignificant IMO. It only affects PF Leagues and FOB. It doesn't affect the standalone game other than some cheat stealing stuff off your FOB, but it's not like there's 100,000 cheaters out there attacking your FOB all day nonstop. In 700+ hrs on PC I've ran into 1 FOB cheater on my FOB. PF leagues you see, on average 1 or 2 per Short League cycle, but they're virtual battles and it costs you nothing yet you still earn points towards buying stuff, so it's really insignificant unless you absolutely must have that top spot every PF League cycle.

There are far more complaints about the cheaters than there are actual cheaters. Although I'm not in the upper rankings of FOB either, which there are probably a lot more in the upper ranks. I'm down in the 50,000-60,000 range and, like I said, I've only seen one cheater on my FOB. The cheaters are mostly insignificant to my game.

Ahh, I see. Yeah, I've been wanting to do FOBs since I 100% the game on console in offline mode, but there was stuff I couldn't get to to develop, so I wanted to do FOBs.

I heard endless complaints of cheaters and stuff back then, so I'm guessing the cheaters have died down since then. Which is good.

Thanks for the info though. :D

Most cheaters have moved on to other games. MGSV is old news and mostly dead.

1 cheater caught cheating yesterday. But that's it, just 1.

As we all had to agree to the TOS/EULA again they might have added something on the server side..... or not.

sure, now when community has shrinked it is right time to invest in anti-cheat, makes real sense.
not to mention that Konami is more interested into using MGSV resources to sell them as a different game MG Survive - why would they try to fix MGSV now? kinda late....

I just meant perhaps at any time during when I stopped hearing of the PC port of the game (Which was only a few months after initial release, so a large time span when there possibly could have been an anti- cheat actually invested into, at a reasonable update-time. No need to be like that.)
