Not really. Though the white sneaking suit for female soldiers can be nice to have. It's unique to them.

If you want to build up your FOB (Forward Operating Base) more quickly to progress faster in the online component of the game, on the PC for instance you get a one-off opportunity to puchase 2000 MB coins which is a DLC purchase (£6.99 GBP). This only means that you can expand from 1 FOB to 3 much more quickly (FOB's start at 1000MB coins).

My mistake was spending MB coins on other things (e.g. speeding up weapon construction times), so now I'll have to wait much longer for a 4th FOB although I can survive just fine without it (you receive 80 coins a week I think on the PC version).

The coins aren't a dlc. It's a microtransaction thing. You don't have to do it. I've never bought any.

You get the coins for free sometimes with the daily log in bonus.

If you haven't bought the game yet, then buy The Definitive Edition. It already comes with all the DLC's and you get Ground Zeroes along with it. Not to mention DE is the same price as just buying the game without the DLC's. Then when you're ready for FOB stuff buy the 2000MB coins after your 1st FOB is fully upgraded to go from 1-3 FOB's quickly. By that time you'll know if you want to invest in the MB coins or not. It was worth it to me, but might not be for everyone.

None of the dlc outfits are expensive to use.
