Command(this one should be top on your priority - also the only platform that increases security team capacity) R&D, BD, Medical are all quite important. Like you said, 1-2 decks are an easy target so try to build at least 3 decks for each platform.
Intel is probably the hardest to infiltrate so you can leave that to one of your last platforms to build. Support is one of the easiest to infiltrate and with the added fuel reward, its gonna get targeted. I usually max out Combat after Command and Med since higher combat level --> more reinforcements and less deployment time.
Fyi, higher security team level --> base blockade timer reduced to a minimum of 10 minutes
1. Are there any guidelines on how to configure your platform defences or is it just something that you'll eventually learn by defending and infiltrating and practicing on your own platforms?
2. What do those key defence points (from A to H?) affect on which you can select for each deck?
