Only if you've got nothing more important to make. It's strong as ♥♥♥♥, but can't be customized at all.

I like it, you can put an extended clip and scope on it. I like it because you can shoot down helicopters with it, and also use it in close range as a shotgun.

Pretty sure you're thinking of the serval or brennan.

molotok is a big waste of precious metal. brennan *10 is cheaper and performs similar to it.

I'm surprised OP is even able to consider developing the Molotok.
Just 120 or so hours of play time and you met the requirement of Support 117, Combat 128, over 500k minor metal and over 200k precious metal? Farming materials are tedious, but doable. I would worry about meeting the level requirement before expense...

At 120 hours I think I was still trying to S rank missions and the 3rd FOB wasn't even out yet. I didn't have a second FOB, and I don't think I touched FOB at that time. Although I don't remember if FOB 1 finished construction.

What was the max level with one FOB? Just a bit over a hundred with only S++?

simple arithmetics: 200*512=102400 -> lv 107

If that's the case, Molotok isn't worth it. It isn't customisable like Seamus said.

Follow lazy skunk's advice and go for the Brennan tree.

Brennan *10 comes with a medium suppressor which can be used for Brennan and Serval of any grade during customization.

Is it worth it? Yes, it's worth it eventually. All weapons are worth it, eventually. by time you get to the point that makes it worth it, cost will not be a concern at all. You'll be maxed out in GMP most of the time and the times you aren't will only take a short time to be maxed out again.

My goal is full development, so I will get it developed sometimes eventually, but right now there are still other things that are more important than Molotok.

PS. I'm over 2000 hours in game, so I'm probably sure it will be some months before Molotok will be worth it to you.

I think i aquired this one recently through the last event. Or am i mistakeing? Isn't it the one with the highest penetration and damage of all snipers? ( and the most expanisve one to use aswell)

useles compared to Serval or brennan as you cannot modify molotok and put things on such as appropriate sight you like and suppressor.
I never use Molotok, Serval is just way more effective

but if you got nothing else to do go for it

As for OP's question, it's what everyone else said already - Serval is better in every way besides damage per shot, and a T8 Serval might be able to rival Molotok in damage per second, since it's semi-auto rather than bolt action.

it's neither linear nor logarithmic. just a hardcoded set of 162 numbers. have already posted them all about half a year ago: https://steamcommunity.com/app/287700/discussions/0/1843493219431770962/

and i don't like serval - it looks ugly.

Nah, it's not ugly at all. That sound it makes as it pierces through a helmet for the headshot is pretty. It's the only weapon to use in the field these days and I'd use it more for Lethal FOB if the suppressor lasted longer. Guess I need to up the Brennen so I can get that 2 bar suppressor. Oh the Serval is a beautiful thing.
