Mgsv freeze on startup, need help
So I've played alot of mgsv on my computer, but today it just freezes and then crashes all of a sudden everytime I try to play it. I've tried alot of things to fix it, revalidating files, admin, even re-installing the game but nothing seems to work. Any ideas or solutions? Thank you in advance.

Either do or don't do, there is no try. Oh wait, wrong movie. LOL

Double check it. Most of the time it's due to Shadowplay and the game doesn't like it.

Had that problem too. Disabling shadowplay did the trick.
To disable it, go into the option of the Geforce Experience. In the General part of it, disable set the share slider to off and you're done.
Hope it will help.

Thanks everyone but I do not have shadowplay/share on, so it must be something else I reckon

In what way does it freeze? Do you click the icon and nothing happens? Does it start to load you see the dots and then it freezes? Exactly what are you seeing and when does the freeze happen?

These are some other things that have happened and it could be any of these......

1. Corrupted Save File causing game to freeze on startup.
2. Bad, corrupted or incorrectly installed MODs
3. OS issues and User had to reload the OS
4. Hardware Issues

It launches the game and shows the launcher's borders (not fullscreen), but inside the borders the screen is transparent showing my backround, and if I click on it it turns white and says "mgsv is not responding". And so far what I've tried: deleted the savefiles (with backups), verified game files and re-installing the game, so no modded files, timezone thing didn't work, neither did admin or re-installing geforce experience (I don't have share on by default). But I'll see if someone has found a solution, but thank you guys. :)

This sounds remarkably like this one.....

.... You can follow the troubleshooting steps on this one all the way through to resolution, which pretty much covers everything that could possibly happen with one of two possible worst case scenario solutions. His was software, but the other worst case scenario solution would be hardware related.

So I did some research And stuff cause I didn't want to reinstall my Windows just for mgsv, but now when I resently revalitadet game files it seems there is always 1 file that it couldn't validate and needs to be reaccuired. Then it came to my suspicion that maybe one of the game files is corrupted? Anyway, thanks for your help, but I guess I just have to wait for a mee laptop.
