METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

my GMP keeps dropping whenever I do a FOB or a main mission again.
like, what the hell is happening? I keep doing the "Mosquito's Legacy"(sorry If I got that wrong.) FOB challange, and it keeps giving me -GMP for no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason, its really annoying me alot.

Odd. Fobs usually give you well more than your deployment costs. It'spossible you're getting split second disconnects that are disqualifying you from rewards. Happens occasionally, even with the event fobs

Do extract much or is your loadout expensive?
Seamus May 29, 2017 @ 12:32pm
175 hours. I doubt the has anything expensive enough for that heavy of a loadout.

I don't know how much GMP you get from Mosquito's Legacy, but it's just a level 9 FOB with 2 platforms each unit. And there has to be reason he keeps losing GMP. I doupt that he disconnects on EVERY try.

Don't recall, but I seem to recall none of the events give under 500k

And he hasn't developed 300 items yet, so you're probably right about too high loadout costs being unlikely.
I usually use an assult stun smg, a lvl 5 MSR4, and a stun LMG, along with a black camo.

That's not even 100,000 GMP and the mission gives you 435,000.
Could you check your deployment costs before starting the mission and then the expenses in the revenue screen after completing it?

Pachinko servers. Wait for maintenance tommorow.

This happens sometimes in FOB. I see it from time to time. I attribute that to a glitch that doesn't account for infiltration points properly. I've even had it happen on a pure ghosting with zero extractions. One of these days I'll record one that actually produces a negative GMP. The problem with that is that you never know if it's going to happen until after it's all over. I suppose I could still screen capture it.

As for it happening in missions. Yes, there are some missions that if you do poorly you will result in a negative GMP for the mission. Once you get good you don't have it happen as often. What I did to combat that was with every mission, do 2 or 3 side-ops in the same deployment and that will counteract the losses.

I love taking heavy loadouts in the field and just obliterate the enemy, so I will use the 1 to 3 ratio quite often even now. Although I have a sniper rifle with well over 100 rounds, so I can actually clear the whole map with a single loadout if I wanted to. Not to mention I can field procure even more ammo if need be.

It's also cheaper to start new missions in the field than returning to the ACC and starting them from there. The cost is only the difference of what you currently have vs. what a full resupply would be since it gives you a resupply when you start a new mission in field. The more you can do in the field without leaving, the more you'll earn from it.

Although, FOB does give you way more than you can earn in the field in a shorter amount of time, so FOB is still the fastest way to earn GMP if you need it. You do get to a point that GMP doesn't matter much at all, but until then, if you do multiple missions and side-ops in a single deployment you'll earn a lot more than returning to the ACC and starting new ones.
and also, I think that its stupid that if you replay a mission over and over again, you start getting Negative GMP.

It's to promote doing all missions and not just the easy ones over and over. Just do other missions. That one will eventually go back to full value again.
ok, thanks Greek.

It could be a glitch where the attack just doesn't count, but it could be you really did research a lot of items and have equipped some over priced gear. Check your helicopter loadout, and your items. Cut back on some things because it doesn't take your best to get through most things.

But most likely it is just that you are currently glitched in relation to whatever platform you are going for. When it happens, that platform will not give you rewards and will not count towards events for a while.

There's a bug when FOB event result won't count, thus resulting in negative GMP and event points not being added. My guess it's Konami's servers bug. To avoid it, I wait 5-10 minutes between each FOB event play. Usually, the next FOB play after not counted one is rewarded corrrectly, thus covering all lost expenses.
