Please do, I have the boxed retail version of that game and it's awesome, such a shame I have to go through hoops and loops to get my retail version working now that the update servers no longer exist.
I always loved Rise Of Legends, maybe even more than Rise Of Nations.
I still have it here but sadly its not playable in Multiplayer anymore.
Would love seeing a extended edition of this!
Not even any need to update the game beside of the Multiplayer Steamworks integration.
This would be already enough for me!
I suppose there's no accounting for taste... however I doubt they will ever bring that to Steam. If RoN is already struggling to cope with this mediocre online community (regarding the disappointing amount of players) I couldn't even imagine how bad RoL would do. best case scenario it would manage to sell half a dozen copies lol.
But I don't mean to discourage you guys. Where there's life, there's hope.
I have to agree. Of these retro games only the most popular have much of a chance. AoE2HD has done quite well because they game was massively popular back in the day, whereas Age of Mythology Extended Edition has struggled. It was a good game in its day (still is), but it was never as popular as AoE2, and the relaunch just wasn't successful enough for the developers to consider it worthwhile to continue investing in the game. I think the same fate would befall RoL.
I'd love for them to develop a Rise of Legends Extented Edition. I would buy it for sure. I am just doubtful that it will ever happen. On the other hand maybe its not that expensive producing these Extended editions, and it won't matter if they only sell to a niche market.
It's becuase you're from Brazil, that's why.
