SO the answer is: they know how to play and you don't. Learn the game and you will be able to follow.
And you are not good as you say, considering what you originally posted. To know how to move units around and how to click a button doesn't mean you know how this game works.
You want to get good? Study, practice, study, practice, test your skills online, study, practice more.
That's it.
Let's see...
- GRANARY gives you +20% boost for all farms in that city (from +10 Food to +12 Food income per farm)
The economic upgrades (left icon) at the granary boosts food output even further, as follows:
1st upgrade: +50% overall food output ~ farm (+12F to +15F per farm) / fish (+10F to +15F per fish)
2nd upgrade: +100% overall food output ~ +20F (per farm/fish)
3rd upgrade: +200% overall food output ~ +30F (per farm/fish)
Am i helping? Is this the kind of thing you wanna know?
Or you already know these things?
The hotkey I use the most is TAB, which quickly scroll through buildings that have available research. That way, you don't spend precious time looking for you temple to research taxation, for example.
To boost your knowledge, you need to find Rare Resources that give it to you, like gems, whool, relics, etc. Of course you have to build scholars, 'im sure you know that. Plus, every time you research a science technology from the next column, you become able to research a technology in the university.
For example: if you are in the Medieval Age, and research Science 3 (which is from the Gunpowder Column), you can now research Literacy at the university. Literacy gives each scholar a +7 knowledge income (instead of the standard +5 knowledge that you start the game with). Which means every full university (with all 7 scholars) will now give you +49 knowledge, and not +35.
Also, building the Hanging Gardens gives you +50 knowledge income right after you complete it. So, it's a good wonder if you want to boom fast and advance fast through ages.
You will learn many things
