Refunding Colin McRae Rally
At Codemasters, we care about our customers and pride ourselves on listening to our community.

We understand that some people who bought Colin McRae Rally on Steam are upset and feel that it isn’t the game they thought it would be. We have now updated the product description for clarification.

Furthermore, as an act of good faith, we have worked with Valve to enable anyone that bought the game to claim a refund. The ability to refund will be available until the 19th August.

To process a refund, please go to your account transactions page and you will see a “Refund” button for Colin McRae Rally. We hope this goes some way to restoring any lost faith and thank you as always, for your continued support.

how about the trailer which states "Re-mastered for HD" ?

Why lock the other thread and open this one lol? Codemaster can't take the heat apparently. People should just boycott their games. I do!

All of this could have been avoided if the description of the game would have been accurate.

I think this is a really good move guys. I strongly dislike the game, but this is a really positive gesture from you. Thank you.

No its nothing to do with that I just didn't want people to come along and read the other without noticing that refunds are available. :)

Thanks for doing this. I didn't buy the game myself but do appreciate it when a developer can be honest and accept that they're wrong for what they've done which is a rare thing these days. Maybe one can really redeem themselves by bringing CMR's 1 through to 2005 onto Steam but updated to work better for modern computers/controllers ***hint hint***

This is a good move, and rare to see these days, from Codies *Thumbs up*

I don't plan on getting a refund, i like the game, it's fun for casual gaming and for a 7€ game, i think it's rock solid.
Now, if you guys could remove GFWL from Dirt 3 as fast as you guys fixed this "mess"...
7 months already since official announcement... C'mon Codies.

Edit to add: By the way Codies, we need more Rally Games ( not ports ) on Steam.

CODEMASTERS !!!
awesome that you refund (not me though), for the peeps who didn't read or did some research.
But for me, please keep releasing the good old games :D (eventhough this isn't old, lol)

Nice move Codemasters! Really appreciated! This is what differs you guys from some junk-companies. Really looking forward for your next-gen F1! Keep up the good work!

I don't have a refund option. I won't be seeking a refund, I'm wondering why it's not available? http://puu.sh/aG1ht/41850b0f9a.png

Did you get it as a gift? For example from some Eastern European trader? Or it's not live yet.
