Upgrading level 100 guns
I have yet to find a decent named 100 gun with enough slots/stats to be worth upgrading, but I've started the fun process of farming chests. However, I'm a little uncertain as to the mechanics and strategy of upgrading guns.

I know you can upgrade the base damage, capacity and firing rate at a cost of 200,000 per upgrade, with a maximum of 30 times. Is that 30 per upgrade or 30 total across all 3? Can you make a gun 30 damage 30 firing rate 30 capacity, or do you have to do something like 15 0 15 or 30 0 0?

If it's the second option, what do most people usually go for? I hear a lot of people talking about maxing out Capacity on a lot of weapons, particularly AMRs and Magnums, but if you're limited to 30 total upgrades is Capacity always the best option?

How do people usually spec out their 100 weapons, so I can plan for any good finds?

Capacity only for giant events...Since the return of investment for 1 additional bullet is 100% damage increase as compared to increasing firepower( Each upgrade is more than a few bullets... so several hundred percent).

Else the spread is up to you for standard raid modes. Capacity is still king though, but you might add firepower to reduce time taken to kill depending on the weapon. E,g Instead of 3 shots by magnum to kill the armored enemy, you increase till it takes only 2.

Firerate.... meh. I have never upgraded it especially when you can use the swap weapon trick to reset firing for most slow weapons. Maybe for level challenge event, very high fire rate for fire damage stacking when you are at level 1, but still meh since weapons that have 100% proc rate for elemental status(magnum , sniper rifles, AMR) has slow firerate(I would rather have capacity).

If u use full burst with evade cancel, go for capacity.

1/ For SMG such as CHicago, AR such as NSR47, these two you must upgrade Capacity coupled with fire. Because these two perfect guns have great Capacity Potential and the most powerful firerate to go with Fire Ammo. **Exception:Use +30 damage upgrade only when you get a Beezlebub 6-slot (like mine, XD)

2/ For Magnums, +30 Capacity for DPS output; +30 damage for Huge Creature Event (always use Pale Rider and its silly-named version only; or the least should be a silly-named Anaconda)

3/ For Handguns, +30 Capacity for level-restricted challenge, +30 Damage for DPS output, such as a Trident LV100 6-slot (like mine, XD)

4/ For AMR, +30 Capacity for DPS output, or +15/15 Capacity/Damage for Huge Creature Event

5) For Muramasa, always +30 Damage (maybe coupled with only a few capacity upgrades), so it can both be used for Full-burst DPS and Huge Creature Event

6) For SVD+M1891 and their silly-named versions, always +30 Capacity (+Fire Ammo)

7) So you see, there are a lot of combinations and options. You will learn more as you play more

Level-restriced challenge can teach you one thing,

That for an SMG or Assault Rifle, their most important stat is (Capacity+Fire Rate), because Fire Ammo burns much quicker and Fire Damage grows much quicker on a high Firerate SMG/AR, especially AR.

That makes it very reasonable that you should always upgrade all Capacity for an Assault Rifle (Fire Ammo+ Firerate+ Capacity parts) and SMG.

An NSR47 with 250-300 clip ammo @ 10 firerate, with 1900+base damage, couple with Fire Ammo
can easily beat a Million Dollar with 6000+ base damage (+30 dmg upgrade+part) .

This tells you that NSR47, given its high ammo clip potential and high firerate, is the Best AR in game, no matter for Event or Normal playing.

As for SMG, Chicago is the same case.

Level-restricted and Huge Creature Event also teach you other things that can be used for practical combat in Raidmode. But I'm gonna keep the rest to myself.

I tested out a level 100 goldfish about 10 upgrades to capacity and 20 upgrades to fire-rate (was at around 25 after upgrades).

Since it's SMG, it has a 50% proc rate for elemental damage. It's not bad but the ammo runs out real fast in standard raid (600 odd ammo...), I killed only about 5 monsters in gauntlet VIII-8 with it before I'm out of bullets.

Guess I'll use this SMG for my level 1 online event challenge instead of standard raid.

Pity Assault rifle and Shotgun has only 19% chance to proc elemental. But the larger base damage and penetration make it much more viable for standard raids. I can kill all the monsters in gauntlet VIII-8 with just my assault rfile with spare ammo left (except Neil monster which needs a rocket launcher in the face)

Oh, never put burst parts in auto weapons. They stop having the ability to auto fire and becomes a burst fire weapon...

I like this, because I did the exact same thing once, using one Assault Rifle and one rocket to clear 8-6, and indeed there were spare ammo left.

I tested using Firerate LV17 on my Fire-ammo Bezzlebub, and it shows much more powerful than a Damage LV17 equipped.

When a Bezzlebub or NSR47 (speed shot, short range+) hits above 12 firerate+Fire Ammo,
it kills all insanely fast, though bullets run out more quickly too, but it is very impressive DPS output.
