Advice for fighting Revenants?
Seems like everytime I fight one of these guys, I'm destined to waste a full AR magazine or two on them, in addition to losing half my health from their almost unescapable grab attacks. Often, the last limb I attack is the one that has their weak spot.

use fire ammo on your AR they will melt in a second.

Thanks, Marco. Firebombs always worked in the campaign, so I imagine fire ammo will work well.

burn them , blow them then finish them on the ground or smoke/stealth and backstab.

hate them as well, f RNG bullet sponges, even more anoying are the elemental versions where you cant properly see where the core is. As others comment stealh and burn is your friends.

How about the tall axe wielding guys with the metal helmet? Do they have a weak point?

* if you get used to dodging their attacks, knife works really well.

* smoke bottle then finishing blow, or exploding bottle to lay them on dirt, then finishing blow.

* do not run to gain great distance, they would only run faster than you to close in on you. shoot and maintain fair distance at the same time.

* dont aim at torso. the order i shoot is 1 legs, 2 head, 3 arms to reveal sweetspot. HG prefered, single shot deals more damage than AR. fire ammo fire occurs at better percentage on HG (40%@Lv10) than on AR.

* single flame bottle will take out revenants easily. shoot a few times so they dont have full energy, then chuck one bottle at them, watch them burn and collapse.

if youre asking regarding story mode... ask natalia.

Iron head , come at you wit axe or hammer = aim where its red.

* headshots around their masks will do great damage.
* neckshots below chin will do great damage, cause them to stun = chance for headshots.
* upper chest shots + between shoulders from behind will do fair damage.
* knee shots will make them dance.

i usually just aim at seam on their chest then make tiny adjustments for neckshots.
if u can get around behind them, better to shoot at back of their heads.

I'm fairly early on in Raid Mode, got my first chara to Level 50 and I don't have the luxury of firebombs, but I'm now using machine guns with fire ammo on them. Chicago Typewriter with 110 capacity, Fire Ammo lvl 2 and ROF of 20 does a good enough job.

As for the tall axe wielding guys with the metal helmet, I just close in with a shotgun that has a Burst mod and let loose, they hit the floor practically instantly.

Natalia can discover the weak point of the Revenant
In story mode the Revenat is indestructible, just die if you shoot the weak point, it turns out with Natalia.
I usually use Natalia with the brick, then finish it off with a knife by Barry.
Do not waste bullets

For Ironheads:
If you have a sniper rifle you can aim for the "strap" like thing on the top of their heads for a headshot from the front. It's possible to do with other weapons just aim a little above their head, but it's easier to do with a sniper rifle.

For Revenants:
All tactics have been covered really. Firebombs/ammo is best, but damn I wish there were a better way, Lose a bunch of gold and xp doing it that way.

The revenant weakspots are considered a seperate enemy for Piercing part reasons.
If you manage to pass on the katana or use Cipher in Raid mode, he easily wrecks those things in seconds even with 10 or so levels above him (definitely don't try on the elemental Revenants)

I usually just blast a shotgun shell (with fire bullets better) on one. Most of the time it hits 3 or so of its target areas quickly revealing the core. Else, just aim carefully using rapid fire weapons or fire bomb/smoke bomb for quick dispatch.

Good thing I've always planned to inherit that Katana.

I never understood the problem with Revenants. The fact you just need to explose and hit the weakspot is pretty well signposted. I never have and never will waste flaming or exploding bottles on them when a few measly bullets and the knife can do the same job.

On the other hand, given you can take 10xSmokescreen with you - I'll happily backstab them to save time. One smokescreen is enough time to stealth-kill two Revenants, assuming they are close together and you were close to them when throwing it.

Otherwise, it's "shoot limbs, shoot weakspot, move on to next target".
