Crowbar/Small Hands with Mouse and Keyboard
While reading the tutorial, it said to pay attention to the controller's vibration to know when to force the lock. However, with a keyboard and mouse, there is no vibration, thus no way to tell when you're in the correct area, aside from the glow.

Am I missing something? Because it seriously becomes trial and error once I get the cursor to turn yellow/orange. Would be nice to know a trick, if there is one.

If this is just something missing by design, well... hopefully a dev decides to add something in for us keyboard/mouse people, because man, it's a pain in the butt to get those chests open as it is.

Otherwise, looking for help...

What's difficult about it? It's a small circle - you rotate around until it goes yellow, then try to pin-point the center location of the general area where it goes yellow. It only becomes annoying when there are more than one locks, seeing as this decreases the unlock-circle size making it slightly more trial vs error and more 'tense' (seeing as such crates are usually located in areas with timers or imminent threats).

hold on and off to keep indicator to a tiny, most sensitive circle.

As the circle shrinks when you hold the button, it will continue to stay yellow when it remains close to the unlocking area. If it turns red as it shrinks, that's where you'll fail the pick because it's not close enough. With the bar on the right, if that fills into the red section at the top and your shrinking circle is still yellow, then you'll most likely complete the pick.

Hope this helps.
