As soon as I finish up the Far Cry franchise, I want to move onto the Resident Evil franchise so I personally want to play every entry, regardless of its quality
RE (HD Remastered)
RE3(first part)
RE2
RE3(second part)
RE Veronica
RE REV
RE 5
RE REV 2
REl 6
RE Zero
RE2
RE3
RE CV X
RE 4
RE Revelations
RE 5
RE Revelations 2
RE 6
This is the correct order.
Enjoy.
You can play too "Resident Evil Survivor for PSX" after of Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil ORC after Resident Evil 3 Nemesis is u want, but really ORC sucks.
thatll explain it. Revelations 2 is between 5 and 6. outbreak file 1 and 2 are side stories and you will notice parts of other games like the wii fps had levels that took place later in the time line hince showing you the characters

Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles are gun rail games that retell the cannon story of some games and add their own special scenarios. Though they speak of cannon content, there are alterations to fit the gameplay.
Operation Raccoon City is non-cannon, as in either endings, Leon and Claire meet the mercenaries, which does not happen on RE2. However, the beggining (Hunk's Mission) can be considered cannon. The game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anyways...
RE 3 and 2 are partly chronogically simultaneous, but RE 3 begins before it. As a matter of fact, the player in RE 2 can observe the aftermath of Jill in several cases (Brad's zombie. Blocked main entrance of the police station)
RE Gun Survivor 2 retells CVX. However, it is merely a dream of Claire wondering how things might've been, since Steve does not die in this version of the game.
+1. The is the most straightforward "main" storyline.
Wait, why is RE5 Gold before RE5? Are they not the same game?
