Can't move during final boss fight. Mouse on screen

Spoilers below obv for this presumed glitch:

I fought the final boss once before and died, and I went back to the work bench in the cave to switch out the SE for the rifle. It thankfully made another checkpoint when I went back to the door so I wouldn't have to do that every time, but now whenever I go through the door to try to fight her, after the cutsceen, I get this:

Whether I let the cutscenes run through or skip them, it's in this mode where I can't do anything but the mouse appears on the screen. I've tried reloading the checkpoint to see if it fixes it at least ten times at this point, and I've restarted the game twice. I went to the keybindings and this doesn't seem to be a special mode, either. I'm not sure what to do and I don't really want to do the extra episodes before I beat the main campaign.

If anyone has experienced this and knows how to fix it, I'm all ears. Thanks.

-Spam Shift+Tab

-Disable V-Sync

-Dont skip the cutscene

-Lock the FPS on 30 or 60

-Connect a controller and the disconect it after pressing a button.

- Start split screen and then disable it to go back in solo but with full controls

-Open the game with Windows 8 Compatibility.

This is the stuff i had confirme it works. Even for certain games with RE:Engine who had this issue under certain circunstances.

Locking the fps to 30 fixed the issue, but it is still frustrating that nobody cared to fix the bug.

Once you move you can put it back to 60 FPS, or when Barry and natalia lose the ability to give comands you can put it back to 60 fps.

Just had this too and fixed it by changing framerates to 30 and then back to 60 as above. What a terrible bug. Great game but does have some rough edges (not being allowed to skip a cutscene until it's been playing for several seconds is regularly annoying).

There are no 30 pfs :(

Strange, try setting your desktop refresh to 60Hz first and then restart the game, maybe the 30 option will appear?

Eu tive esse mesmo problema, mas eu estava no modo INVISIBLE ENEMIES.
Alex me matou na primeira tentativa, quando deu o ckeck point não conseguia me mexer e o mouse aparecia na tela.

Depois de ler algumas respostas daqui, a solução que me ajudou foi de mudar o FPS do jogo para 30. Dei check point e voltou ao normal.

The solution is, from the game, change the fps to 30, then enter the game and it will be fixed. Then you can change the fps again.

I was able to beat the game finally with what people put somewhere in the thread. Idr what the solution specifically was so you're going to have to read the thread more

10 years later the same. Lock at 30 fps in game settings helped

For the record you can also switch to Natalia before entering the door to the boss and that should be enough.
