Resident Evil Revelations 2

Resident Evil Revelations 2

İstatistiklere Bak:
Particle effects (fire/snow/smoke) causing major FPS drops
Does anyone know of a work around for this issue? In raid mode this is a major issue for me, as the last level on the first gauntlet has fire everywhere and the first level on the second gauntlet puts you in a snowstorm with an objective you have to defend.

I was able to fix most of the FPS drops from the campaign by going into my Nvidia Control Panel and modifying the program settings for Resident Evil Revelations 2. Setting the 'maximum pre-rendered frames' to 1 and 'Triple Buffering' set to ON seemed to help. The game, for the most part, runs fine with these changes besides in particle effect heavy areas.

Any suggestions? (The game running on minimum settings still suffers these particle effect induced FPS drops .)

I got the same. My game runs smooth with 60 FPS everytime expect these two levels where my FPS drops to around 20. Thats nearly unplayable with this defend map.
Same problem here, fps drops to 15 in areas with fire/smoke/snow.

System Specs:

Motherboard: Asus model: P8Z77 V-LX

Its definetely an optimization issue, as like all of you my PC far exceeds this game's demands. Hopefully it is eventually patched.

Running a GTX Titan black and an i5 with 8GB Ram myself.

Yeah but according to the fanboy shills, you should get a better graphics card than that since they claim they have absolutely "no problem" with fps.

Im running a year old GPU that goes for a grand. Short of getting another in SLI I do not see what the ♥♥♥♥ I could do to upgrade even a moderate amount. Fanboys suck.

No truer words were ever spoken that day.
More like volumetric lighting, particles play a huge role in this so no wonder.

Did make a thread about this, sadly no work around yet unless you can somehow disable some of the gpu heavy options that were not listed in game.

It's not about system speccs it's about these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ making an unoptimized game. Mind you this kind of ♥♥♥♥ always happens on release date, never during their testing.
Exactly the same issue RE4 HD had on 60 FPS mode (And probably RE HD too) which is weird because this game runs on the same engine as RER, RE5 and RE6, all of them with pretty superb PC performance when compared to the HD rereleases previously mentioned.

RE HD never had this problem on release. This is generally entirely capcom's ♥♥♥♥ up on this game. Not to mention, Dead Rising 3 port (which they never fixed).
Actually what's funny is that I had lag on those two stages as well, particularly on that blizzard mission where you have to guard the hourglass. I was able to fix this by lowering my resolution to 720p just to get past those two missions... Had around 40-50ish fps? Which is managable. Today after the 15 mb update, I go to do the blizzard mission again and my fps is 12. On both 720p or 1080p. Lmfao wtf?
Will they ever fix this? Replayed the Episode 1 again and those room with volumetric fog just drag the FPS down. The one where the keys dropped. The CPU usage is also always 100%, so the CPU is always stressed either way.

If anyone finds a fix or workaround to remove those effects, please share them, I don't think capcom even knows how to remove or fix this issues.
