Changing to good ending (spoilers, obviously)

I encountered a bug right before the last boss (see here -> http://steamcommunity.com/app/287290/discussions/0/451851477880412718/), so I might have to replay Episode 4.2 anyway

Did I understand correctly, that to get the good ending, one must have Moira kill Neil at the end of episode 3.1?
because, when I was in that situation and Claire reached for the gun, I pressed the buttons as prompted and Claire shot the guy with the gun. (It might have pressed too slowly without realising it. Anyhow, if I replay the episode, I'd like to be clear on that.)

Would it be enough, that I replay Episode 3.1 (on casual, I hope I'll be faster that way) do whatever is correct, and then play Episode 4.2. (on normal, have not beaten it due to the aforementioned bug) to get the good ending?

Yes, to get the good ending, Moira has to be the one to kill Neil.
I don't think difficulty will matter.

The difficult doesn't matter, as long you you reach for the gun with Moira, while Claire is being hold down by Neil, you will get the good ending later.

Also you don't need to play the later stages of that scene too, just play the episode where you kill Neil, then the last episode with Barry.

How's that a good ending? Burton ♥♥♥♥♥ survives, Clare getts all butthurt over Neil and nobody has any idea that Alex successfully transferred herself into Natalia. Endings are quite even.
