Raid mode rainbow weapons
Is there a higher chance of getting a specific weapon?
I've been grinding for days and have got 3 rainbows all of which are high rollers (AKs).
I'm trying to get a decent sniper or magnum but so far have only seen rainbow/ 3 star quality on assault rifles, so I need to check a drop spreadsheet to see if I'm just wasting time.

drop rate is very very low, i would highly recommend to do events in rev.net but u need a partner who can carries or good stuff already

Can confirm this. Events make it much easier, to get decent Lvl 100/6 guns. Weekend Survivor is usually a solid supply for those, but might be hard to beat solo and without good guns (kinda ironic). Especially the lvl60 and lvl70 WE Survivors.

Downside is, some specific guns are never given out on those events. Like a 100 AMR f.e.

Only alternative is a mod, that changes the droprates for weapons.
I've been grinding and have found 2 more rainbow weps: a magnum and shotgun drake.
So its just a matter of patience, but still seems like AKs are way more common than most weps (except low rarity pistols).

Define "rainbow weapons" and whats your goal.

Going for the 6 slots lvl 100 weapons with rare tag is a 1.68%

Going for 4 slots lvl 90 weapon with any tag is a 38%

Capcom did a dirty play here. If you had the "Complete pack" (The full game without the raid mode Scam) then your chances for good stuff is lower compared to the player who owns the "Deluxe Edition" (With the Raid mode scam slots)

I test my self this a few months ago. Literally 15 matches after i place all the extra space DLC´s i got guns on lvl 100 6 slots. Something that i never got in years of playing without events

By experience. Rainbows are usually trash, the good stuff comes on red or above. A gin lvl 100 with 6 slots is the only thing worth it on this game.

Helena going through all resident evil's too?

I class rainbow as 3 star weapons, the star system effects the chance of having 6 slots/ weapon prefixes but not the level of the weapon although I haven't seen a rainbow weapon lower than 98.

All I know is they can only be obtained in Code Red and other Item rarities follow similar rules (like needing at least 1/2 a star to get an prefix).

The stars just show the unccomon lvl of the gun (AMR are 2.5-3 stars but this doesnt mean they are going to have 6 slots)

You can get a 3 star lvl 90 goldfish with 3 slots. The only reassin why this gun is a 3 stars is bc it is a chicago twipper with a tag

I got a liberator lvl 100 6 slots on purple 2.5 stars and it was a rare tag MPM handgun lvl 100 with 6 slots. The only reasson why this gun wasnt a rainbow was bc of the gun. The MPM Handung is very common to get.. I also got a Samurai Edge speed load lvl 100 on purple with 6 slots and again the only reasson why this gun wasnt a rainbow it was bc the Rainbow is reserved for the trple shot with any tag or it must be the special tag for the samurai. But overall thoso guns perform really well.

From whay i understandd your goal is just get the 3 stars, it will take you a while since it is completly RNG dependent.

Personally any gun that´s not at least 5 slots and lvl 100 is trash regardless of the tag. If the gun cant handle multiple parts is trash, if the gun is not lvl 100 is trash.

You can get a lvl 95 AMR with 4 slots and a dragnov SVD lvl 100 with 5 slots will overcome in everything to the AMR

"B-But the AMR has 95k pts of damage" Yeah but an SVD with 30 upgrades of capacity and long magazine lvl 10 or BSAA will allow me to kill an entire stage without reloading while the AMR cannot be reloaded and you´ll be lucky to kill half of the enemies on the stage before you run out ammo. Plus you cant upgrade a gun thats not lvl 100

If you are intrested on just collect rare weapons, play the last stagee (I belive is VIII- 07) open the chests and if you dont get a rainbow restart and repeat.

If you are intrested on getting powerful guns, focus on red- rainbow guns. Best tags to find are "Steady hand, speed shot or Speed Load" (Personally i prefer a Speed Load over any tag since they give you extra capacity and extra ammo + faster reload and this two things come in handy on the events but if you are like 90% of the people on raid mode who does not tolerate recoil then "steady hand" is the best for you).<

Edit: About the stages to farm weapons. I recomend the Neil stage bc theres other stages where you can get quickly to the boxes but heres a thing, usually this stages had anoying long respawns while on the Neil stage you can just open everything, Kill Neil andd happily camping in one spot of the map all the enemies clearing the stage in less than 30 secs).

I Am interested in collecting Rainbows because of the drop rate and rarity, also the named variants of weapons are typically of higher rarity. I don't think I've seen a serpent with speed shot, if you know what I mean.

There are red weapons with 6 slots at level 100 which are super nice to use and I have collected quiet a few of them, however I'm planning to grind out the full 5 completion medals for all of code red also I won't waste time "upgrading beyond limits" for sub optimal weapons as it get expensive real fast and can only be viable for grinding weps.

Speaking of grinding V-5 is the best if you have tons of BP and a decent combo of rifle + magnum & any other weapon that spits out fire damage.

:yuri: I'm looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

rainbow weapon droprates are crazy low you will spend most of your days grinding for that drop, i got myself a ton by playing the game and also a bit of luck since its release date, and its true that if you have the dlc the chances of droping a rare weapon are highter but yet not guarented, so keep that in mind that you will need to play over and over again until you get what you truly want, rare rifles like the sledgehammer or pistols, magnums, are crazy hard to get specially if your goal is to get the ones that have rare names (this are called unique weapons) and ofc lvl 100 6 slots, Each weapon has a unique, named version that deals more damage than its non-unique counterpart. These weapons are super rare and i totally suggest that you follow this guide cuz it gives more deatailed info on what you need: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=913185964

Thats something imposble since the tag is an extra upgrade so do speak.

Lets say you get a new weapon, the game read it like this

Weapon Samurai Edge
Slot 1: Note
S2:None
SE:None
S4None
S5:None
S6:None
Upgrade: X

On upgrade theres i belive 10. Speed shot, speed reload, long range, Long range + Short Range Short range + Sonic assist, Sonic Assist+ , steady hand and "Powerful". The last tag defines the game of the weapon, if you had a "Serpent" you cannot have speed shot on a serpent since the upgrade is already used by the rare tag
Also. Rainbows can come with the regular tags and make thos weapons no that special as the others. You could get a triple shot rainbow but without tag or with a none special tag like Sonic Assist

The only way that upgrading a weapon beyond limits is a waste is if you upgrade firing rate or damage. thats gold into trash. Upgrade on capacity is the key here.

V-02 is the best for gold and EXP but on parts is the neil stage.

V-02 enemies always had buffs and sometimes the game messees up and sends only goldd or silver enemies so if that stage already gived you almost a million per play in less than 90 secs imagine how much you earn when the code messes up and sends this enemies the entire stage.

Neil stage the fastest i clean it is 30-40 secs. So you get you parts if its worth it just play for another 30 secs and done and if not leave.

Theres another stage i belive the V-03 where all chest are close to you but you have to deal with the crappy spawns of that map and the enemies sometimes get stuck so i prefer a goodd balance between time and finding time investment
V-2 is the largest stage.... not worth it.

Neil stage is best for gold + XP

V-3 all 4 chest are right next to you and you can reset very quickly.

(I mistook V-3 FOR V-5, V-3 & V-1 are the 2 smallest stages realistically.)

V-02

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2996100191

I only use soul eater since the rifle that i use to farm on this map only has 5 slots and i aprecciate more a reload speed rather than extra gold (Usually the stuff from this stage isnt worth it since it always are guns lvl 99 or lower and that for me is a 100% direct sell).

Neil Stage

https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2042994105109681229/8CE7C0EE95B77577883E2152267B16B5555F2F05/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

A quick math operation tells me that V-02 gives 4.0299981 times more EXP than VIII-06 and again the chances of bugging V-02 to get at least 40 golden or silver enemies are pretty high compared to the Neil stages and when this happends the rewards are huge.

Getting a 4 times more EXP for just 50 extra secs are really worth it. Even on the long run (And if you dont pick the chest the time goes lower)

On the other hand VIII-06 is the best for chest. Yeah V-03 has the 4 chest side by side but killing 30 enemies and the fixed 10 secs respawns? Is not worth it. The time that you "save" by instantly knowing what the posible rewards are is not worth a 2 minute slow pace stage. Once more, Neil stage has no fixed timing which means after you kill Neil with a rocket you can just sit down on the stairs and kill all the enemies quickly

Plus Neil Stage on coop can be done in 15 secs.

V-03 The fastest time i´ve seen to be cleared is from ZaraSpook on Weekend Survivor and it was 2 minutes 2 MINUTES!!! in the game mode where all you want to do is rush the ♥♥♥♥ out of the stages. Also Neil Stage is done in 20 secs on this game mode 10 secs are usually for opening chests (My personal record on this one under farming circunstances are 39 secs and keep on mind that i only complete this stage if the gun is something worth it and that usually means a Sniper rifle and the last times i played this stage i got my AMR steady shot lvl 100 and that was like two years ago)

V-02 Gold/Exp is the best (And if you get the golden/silver enemies all the stage theres no other stage on raid mode that would give you this numbers). This stage is the only one on the game with more than 30 enemies (The throwback maps are DLC and had fixed spawn timming + anoying spots)
Looks promising, I'll have to try it out but really don't know how to approach it apart from brute forcing.
The convenience of V-3 is just too appealing, I could select exactly what to look for and pick them out when I feel like it. I don't get as many rewards but find the exact ones I want.

The only downside is resetting get repetitive & you don't get a chance to collect and upgrade parts (since you aren't technically mass farming them.)

The downside of V-03 is the pain of spawns and how you trade efficiency over knowing at the moment the stff you get.

For me is not worth it trade an extra 60 secs for just knowing on the begining if i got something good. And opening all 4 chests on VIII-06 just takes 10 secs. Trade those 10 secs for a 60 secs just to know on 4 secs if what im playing is good isnt worth it.

The game is already so repetitive and while you are farming this becomes a lot more repetitive, on the long run each time you find the a good weapon your only goal become end the match the fastest you can.

I try to see all screenshots but i got an error message on all the links

On my case i lost all intrest on the game once i got the AMR lvl 100 with 6 slots. That was 4 years ago i only play campaing bc each time i try to play raid mode i got enough by just getting into the lobby. From mi 1.2k hrs probably arround 900 hrs i was farming weapon due the lack of development on this area (Bc nintendo Switch has better drop rates on code red rather than this version).

I don't get how you can do V-2 so fast? I've seen videos of VIII - 6 but none that speed through V-2
