Moira is the worst character in videogame history.

let alone Resident Evil History, i couldnt take ANYTHING from this game seriously thanks to her, she ruined the game for me tbh, everytime i finished the kickass Barry portions of the game, i ♥♥♥♥ing abohrred the fact that i had to play the Claire chapters just to keep up with the story and to keep up with... her.
I cant be the only one feeling like that right? that Moira is just a Gender-swapped version of Dante from DmC?

I think there are worse characters among the RE universe: Steve, Ashley, Jessica, Quint, Keith and Jake come to my mind.

Have you noticed how most of the characters you listed are from the Revelation sub-series? says a lot about the "newcomers".

tbh, while i know Ashley is one of the worst and almost first examples of how NOT to do an Escort mission ever, she had some charm, same for Steve, and while Jake is an Edgy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a Gary Stu, he at least gets ♥♥♥♥ done and he can back himself up, unlike Moira, everything about her is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and moaning about how everythings ♥♥♥♥ up, ♥♥♥♥ this, ♥♥♥♥ that, talk ♥♥♥♥ about my father, and all around being an unsufferable ♥♥♥♥, at least Natalia has the Excuse that its a little girl (and she can see enemies behind walls, so thats a + compared to Moira). i bought the game and i havent finished it yet (got to replay it once more, game always gets me hooked when im playing the Barry portions of the chapters), so i dont know if the character gets better, but until then, "♥♥♥♥ on a stick" will always be known as the worst line ive ever heard in any videogame.

Just from RER, which I honestly do think has the worst cast overall (I also forgot Rachael which is an awful character to me). I also hated Ada in RE6, I was fine with her in 2 and even in 4.

In Moira's case, I don't have any problem with her besides her voice acting and her various stupid dialogue lines (which I actually blame the English localisation for, not the character's personality itself), so I don't have any problem with her being weak or panicky because she's a character meant to be that way.

It all depends on what each one considers to be a bad character, I'm mostly concerned about stereotypes, the Mary Sue/Gary Stu cliches and bidimensional characters.

i actually DO thing the localization and the voice acting has a lot to do with Moira being an insuferable ♥♥♥♥, it's horrible, the japanese version of Moira is a lot more likable, i think they just made her edgy for the sake of being edgy, and i know RE is known for having narmy voice actors since RE1, hell, Barry in this game is over the top but that has its own char, Moira is just unlikable, maybe chaning the game to japanese might fix my "problem", being the first time ive ever played a RE game in japanese that is.

Also, yeah RE6 had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of Mary/Gary Stu's, that goes without saying, at least the gameplay of that game is fun, the story... not so much.

Steve was great character and had nice background history.
Ashley was fine too, not that much like steve but was ok.

Moria is just annoying b.itch, her character was so annoying almost to the end, she should die in tower, and her body should be hidden final boss in Barry campaign...

Never had any problems before with any character up until Moira.
At least Ashley quickly dropped any attidude she had after Leon re-rescued her.

Since the first time we meet Moira she's made out to be an obnoxious whiny teen b1tch, trashing one of the series fan favorites for a prolonged time at every possible chance, and only receiving a weak explanation later on in the game.

And no, judging from Barry's dialogue after he finds out what happened she and Polly apparently knew they weren't supposed to be in that room in the first place.
Barry yelling at Moira was only his natural reaction at the time. His only mistake not apologizing for it later on.

i know, it breaks my heart to play ANY RE game in japanese, but im not going to endure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MOIRA BURTON for the entirety of the game, or at least ill change the lenguage every time i play the Barry Segments, those parts kick all sorts of ass

It's even more funny when you realize he basically went back to the very job he avoided all these years to find her. I feel like she was majorly in the wrong for telling him off and proves Barry is just a good guy trying to do the right thing for his family. Barry is ok with me but Moira needs some disciplining!
