Can I delete save files?

I beat this game years ago, but I want to start it over again with a clean slate (no guns/upgrades/etc), and I have no idea how to start a new game without having Claire already loaded down. There's no simple "New Game" option. I've already tried doing a full deletion of the game folder, turning off cloud saves, and then redownloading it, but that did nothing. Is there some folder that I'm not aware of where saves are being sent to?

I just copy and paste from old discussion:

"-Disable Steam Cloud for RER2.
-Move your save file to a backup folder
-Start the game, it should create a new save file

Your Save file is stored in a completely different folder, it should be in: Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\XXXXXXXX\287290\remote"

you should go into folder that has the 287290 folder,
right click 287290 folder and press copy,
then right click empty space in that same folder,
then press paste,
then rename that folder called 287290 - copy to 287290 - Backup
