why this game stuttering so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad?
I played all resident evil series on my pc (including re 7, re 2 and 3), and there was no any stutter, but this game really unplayable. I installed it on SSD, i also used fixes from pcgamingwiki, but there is no changes. What reason can it be? I have i7 3770, RX 570 4gb and 16 gb ram. and like I said ssd with Win 10 and this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, using ultra setting. Maybe it's better to try lower settings? Stutters usually in singe game, but it's much more in Raid mode (offline). I Also disabled RE.Net cus i heard it can make stutters, but i'm not sure. I use last versions of software.

hello,

game stutters on any setup/spec because it is just a flawed port - that's it, simple as that. you can try to mitigate it with various fixes here and there, but you will never fully fix it, sorry

you can read various topics and threads, if you will, but I doubt if will do any good,

btw i played few days ago and it's runned smooth, it's stuttered only on beggin of level in raid mode, but after that perfomance was great. I don't remember what i did for that

I did what is suggested here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=878150657 and it's better now. My hardware is much weaker than yours, if anything.

пробовал, вообще ноль изменений, прям нуль, так же фризит при выполнении каждого действия

I believe the stutter is caused by the game caching textures off your hard disk during gameplay. This is most pronounced when you start a game (campaign or raid), or right after you arrive at a new location (like right after you exit the penal colony and come into the forest). Nothing really fixed it for me. I just wait a good 4~5 seconds and it fixes itself. It's not ideal, but it's not like I'm going to play this game for very long, anyway.

No it has nothing to do with loading data. You would see heavy disk activity if that would be the case. Its just awful resource management. Depending on your CPU and GPU it may work just fine or stutter like hell.
Probably a GPU driver issue that never got fixed. Maybe caused by some dumb game engine problem as well. In my case atiumdag.dll was the culprit and there is no fix.

Now that you said it, I recall someone mentioned that. The engine offloads everything to your CPU at once instead of your GPU, that's why it stutters for a few seconds before going back to normal. Probably a side-effect of this being a console game first - they didn't even bother to make another version of the tutorial for opening chests - the game just assumes you're using a controller with vibration.

I play this on console and i hate the vibrator on controller. But why people figth a lot with the chests? Really how hard is keep the circule in orange/red or green color?

I did the same and i play on a DDR3 graphic card. But i must confess. Nintendo switch version runs better than here (back to 2016-2017 i play this with a GDDR5 Graphics card and still got some freezes. No to mention raid mode on coop is a lag fest).

If you want to play this game without framerate issues go for a PS4, XB1 or Nintendo switch (i recomend the nintendo switch version, it has exclusive parts like autoreloader, cornucopy, granade recovery and a special part to make all your parts to the max lvl.

Guys/girls it's not just for 5-7 seconds, it's stuttering for every action - opening door, shot enemies, looking around, running etc, 5 seconds would be good if it was true
It's freezing every single second
I dunno what to do, this game is so garbage, i don't understand what the hell capcom thought about when they ported this from consoles (especially PS3 and XBOX 360!!! What about experience there? I mean, it's better or same as mine?) thank you for replies by the way
I have second pc with i3 10100 with ddr4 and gtx 1050, i will try this game there, maybe it's connected with GPU manufacturer, as I know PS 3 gpu made by Nvidia, and maybe game optimized for nvidia much better than for amd

Ok, i got some progress with solution, but i got new issue. When i run game it has 19 fps in fullscreen, but when i change it to windowes it starting to run smooth in 120 fps, but when i turn on fullscreen again it again changes to 19 fps, idfk what the hell with this game. By the way, in windowed mode game run perfectly, not a single stutter even in raid mode, i've never seen perfomance in this game like this, but i want to see same in fullscreen mode. Before that i reinstalled game, scanned my pc by dr web cureit, after that i cleaned my pc with Ccleaner (i also cleaned register too) and disabled everything in msconfig what run with windows (GHub, Epic Games Store, Java updater and uTorrent) and reboot the system, and game works like this (perfectly but not exactly)

I made all this on my main pc with 3770 rx 570

Dont worry. Just matter of time you get the stuttering back again.

PS3 is awful. Lag fro aiming, lag for shoting, lag for using explosives, 100% more loading screens (if you change from area on Episode 1-3 the game will go black and you will get "Loading". PS3 runs at 15-20 fps. only runs on 35 when theres no enemies.

XBOX360 is reallt good. it reach easy 45FPS You only got a few FPS drops when you play raidmode. xbox1 is really stable but no one at the same level as nintendo switch. On any console and here you can had the best GPU, lower resolution, etc. And the game will be freeze after a few seconds if you fire the rocket launcher or you abuse from granades/molotovs or change area. Only nintendo switch is stable enough to spam granades or fire rockets like a maniac without get FPS drops. Of course if you portable mode you may notice a few FPS drops on specific zones (specially on campaing).

The game had a awful optimization since it came out. You can watch the updates patches they need 5 updates patches to make it playeable but still with a lot of issues like the infinite sending data when you end a raidmode stage on coop.

Windowed Mode really does help even for me. Which is weird because i have actual video footage of me analyzing the issue back in 2015 recorded in windowed mode and the problem did persist. So this is not a vague memory.
Many of the stutters i usually get seem to be gone that way.

I've also checked once again if it loads any data during Raid Mode play. And it doesn't. In fact it doesn't load any data at all even during the loading screen. The most i saw was 0.2 MB.
How so? Windows 10 just caches most of the games data in RAM via memory mapping. So the SSD isn't even accessed.

Ver 2.30- 4.10 had a lot of performance issues. Thats why this game run different back to 2015.

On my case the game is running same as back to 2015 when i play it with a DDR5 GPU (im using a DDR3).

Capcom never and it wont fix the performance issues for PC and its amaizing for me how this game only runs on 60 fps if i play it on 1366x728, all low only textures in high and GTA V runs in 1080p with High distance render, high people and vehicule density on GTA Online 45 stable FPS (in case you wondering no i dont use any kinda mod on GTA for the ban risk).

Is amaizing how this game cant run on a stable framerate and GTA online can do it without problem and on higher settings.

This game stutters because whatever background tasks it runs uses your cpu hard and with your cpu it is hitting 100% usage. Run MSI Afterburner and you'll see what I mean. Some stages it can take minutes for the cpu usage to go but for others just seconds. This is by far the worst port Capcom put out there as this is the only game in the RE lineup that does this.
