Hello,

I have been reading this game is best with someone to play with to be able to complete it. My question is just to make sure. Can I solo this game?

You can solo it without a problem.
As a matter of fact, I think that playing it coop is rather complicated as you need remote play and stuff like that (not sure how it works).

Unlike RE5, your companion is not a fully operational 2nd player handled by either a friend or the AI. In this game your companion is just a "support" character that can't shoot weapons. You can swap between your main character and secondary character at almost any time.
You need your companion mainly for puzzles and secondarily to assist you by healing, stunning enemies or finding hidden items.

So, the difference between human partner or AI partner would be:
PUZZLES
- Human: Your friend can move around at the same time as you do to help you with the puzzles.
- AI: You have to switch constantly between one character or the other (is not common though).

FIGHTS
- Human: Your partner can move around to bait zombies and hit them with the crowbar/brick or throw grenades at your enemies while also being able to stay near you to heal you or cure ailments.
- AI: Totally useless, will walk around aimlessly and very rarely will help you out if you're struggling as the AI is quite dumb. They're a dead weight but they also cannot die.

EXPLORING
- Human: Your partner will be able to look around the map to spot secret items (only secondary characters can do it), help you manage inventory and cover more space.
- AI: You'll probably want to switch to your sec. character for most of the exploration, since that's the only way you'll spot hidden items, and then switch to the main character in fights. The game has stealth but you can tell your character to stay/follow so they don't give your position away (although stealth works like ♥♥♥♥).

Mandatory: Both players need a controller

Select the friend that you want to play with. then press "Invite remote play togheter", your friend must had a controller, press start and done. Idk what part is hard on this.

If you friend dosent had a steam account or he just want to play on his phone copy the link steam give you and send to him.

As advice i recomend you move the 1 player character to allow the game to know who is the 1p player and who the 2nd. If you dont move your character the 2nd player can gain control as first player and bug the 1st player controller and you need to restart the game. In most cases 1st player now will join as 2nd and lose main character control, this can be solved just swaping the controllers with steam remote really easy.
