Cannot switch weapons? How to fix? (Using Gamepad)

So it seems that I cannot switch weapons at all, it says that I can switch weapons using my D-Pad but nothing works, its like my D-Pad is not even functional in this game, I've even tried my friend's gamepad, thinking that there's something's wrong with my gamepad, but nope, still nothing, so its clearly not a gamepad problem.

Any way to fix this? its really annoying since the only way to switch weapons is to rely on my keyboard, and as soon as I press a button on my keyboard, it disconnects my gamepad.

As harsh at it sounds, use a mouse and keyboard, much much better and more accurate than the gamepad.

Even if you don't want to, force yourself to use it and learn to use it well because you will play better.

I prefer using a mouse and keyboard than playing with gamepads, in fact, very small amount of games I play using gamepads, problem here is that I'm playing this game offline co-op with a friend, so I have to find a solution for this problem ASAP

Yeah that happens in RE6 too and the Naruto games. The only way i could use D-Pad with my Dualshock 4 is using DS4windows and check "hide DS4 controller".

If you are using other controller i have no idea.
