When do we get fixes for Linux? Devs promised the game will be same as the Windows version, but it isn't; still missing Tesselation, Volumetric Lighting. Also SSAO seems to be broken on Very High textures. I also noticed the sound in animation of switching ammo type is not in sync.
Like I wrote over at the Metro Last Light Redux entry, this is just embarrassing. The irony is that El Capitan even features Metal, a kind of Direct X for OS X, plus there are tools for OpenGL to Metal conversion. And if you did your job right in the first place, none of this would be happening. If you cannot release a proper version that runs on modern Apple hardware (which almost exclusively uses NVIDIA cards), then why release it at all? I'm flabbergasted.
Metro 2033 work on OSX El Capitan, you need to install Nvidia web Driver for Mac

this one for GTX:steamhappy: 680Mx 2gb

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/92192/en-us

Check your config first, and download the right driver !!
@blubblun: If new drivers will fix the problem, the issue is with the drivers, not the game!
@blubblun: Unlike DirectX which is used by just about every AAA game developer that releases for pc, I can't think of one major game release ( not indie) that uses Metal yet. They did release a proper version that runs on modern Apple hardware, it's not the game developers fault that Apple released a new OS with a radically new graphics stack or that hardware manufacturers have failed to release drivers that fully utilize the hardware. The Metro games are not the only ones with degraded performance on El Capitan. And since when does Apple use Nvidia cards "almost exclusively"? The current Generation Mac Mini uses an intel chipset, the 5K retina iMac runs an AMD Radeon R9 mobile chip, the Mac Pro runs dual AMD FirePro chips. The Macbook, MB Air, and the MB Pro all use intel chips with the exception of the high end $2500 config which again uses an AMD R9 chipset. Do your reseach before you post nonsense next time.
We are talking about Nvidia on OSX el Capitan !
I can run Metro 2003 redux and many other games on my imac late 2012 , with a gtx 680mx 2gb.
i don't know about other mac config.....
A Mac is not a gamer machine, and the graphic driver are obsolete for game, that 's sure... Apple don t care about your graphic card perfomance, and don't give update.
Apple use a new format named OPEN CL, and don't care about OPEN GL or other thing.

YOU will find the right driver for your mac to play video games !!!
Metro Redux Mac version is not a native one but a force-port, causing performance issues here and there. Every time I quit the game, I can see those command lines running on the backstage.
Besides, freezes and glitches while loading and the asynchronization of sound and graphic make me very annoyed.
I hope 4A will really make some improvements.
Alright wiseguys and Windows fanboys: where's an OS X driver for the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M? I'd settle for Yosemite for that matter. Besides, I really don't care if any self-professed "serious gamer" thinks "a Mac is not a gamer machine" *yawn* — if a publisher releases a version for any kind of operating system and the minimum specs are more than fulfilled, I feel it's not exaggerated to expect it to run smoothly on default settings, yes? In my view, better do no port at all and have it running perfectly for Windows exclusively than an extremely unstable one. If you do a port, do it right.
i have buy it few hours ago, what i do? refund?
This really didn't work on Yosemite. Nvidia has already released new drivers and it still runs like crap.
@Masli: Yes, I would get a refund. It does not work when you have an Nvidia card and it probably never will.

@Deadsmoke96: You do realize that the description reads:

This driver update is for Mac Pro 5,1 (2010), Mac Pro 4,1 (2009) and Mac Pro 3,1 (2008) users.

BETA support is for iMac 14,2 / 14,3 (2013), iMac 13,1 / 13,2 (2012) and MacBook Pro 11,3 (2013), MacBook Pro 10,1 (2012), and MacBook Pro 9,1 (2012) users.

I have a MacBook Pro 15" Mid 2014. The driver does not work for me.

Also, please take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBBmCI37IMI
With the release of OSX 10.11.1 update, current version of Nvidia web driver doesn't work any more.
Just wanted to let you all know: on my MBP, installing https://gfx.io and forcing the internal GPU (Intel Iris Pro) makes the game playable, although it still badly lags in some places.
