I've never had it happen on Windows 8.

Steam больше не поддерживает Windows 7, Windows 8 и Windows 8.1. Надо менять Windows либо на Windows 10 либо на Wndows 11

Although I purchased both games for $10, I feel robbed... I might as well just buy a copy of Windows 7, and play the games on Windows since the lag issue doesn't seem to affect Windows versions.

Disable User Account control in windows, it will solve all the run with admin problems that games have, it's just windows being windows and thinks anything ya launch maybe harmful to the system. So

I think metro redux won t work with windows 8 and 8,1 i using windows 7 and all working perfect . Try to update your graphics card drivers maybe works ?

fine on mine, running Windows 8.1

32 bit windows 7 or 64 bit windows 7. Because it won't work on 32 bit!

It is windows that wants to change ur theme. The game is taxing and windows auto detects it can alleviate performance issues.
