Unable to remove gas mask

When headding into the level "Dry" I am hit with heavy breathing, and am unable to remove the gas mask. Shoryly after that I die and is is a wash rinse repeat thing. IDK if has something to do with the previous level, but I still had a few min left on my filter when going into the next level.

i did hold g, but it was durring a cut scene that it was happening. I can try again, but I think it might yield the same results.

I am having exactly the same problem! During the cut scene that starts at the beginning of the level (you climbing down with Bourbon and him going through the grate) the game somehow thinks I am suffocating and I can't do anything because the controls are deactivated during the cut scene.

I tried turning on god mode to prevent dying so I could at least get through the cut scene and then experiment with pulling off the gas mask, but that did not work. I died anyway. I don't know if this is because god mode was not activated properly or if it was because god mode does not protect you from 'suffocating'.

Did you manage to find a solution or are you still having this problem as well?

I am still having the issue. I got frustrated and haven't played it since then.
