Night Vision Bug solution?
Hi guys, is there any Solution for the Problem with the "Automatic Night Vision Bug"?

Artjom decides sometimes to turn his night vision on... and you cant turn them off as specialy in parts of the game were you loose control about artjom...... while getting captured from the two reich soldiers or.... if artjom falls down from the railcar.... or something like that... in each of those sequences where you loose a second control over artjom he turns his Nightvision on automaticaly and you cant turn them off. Stupid bug. Someone tried "new installation" ? Or Restart the game (from first level i mean)? Some guys were talking about "make sure that you didn't have NV Googles on if the two Reich soldier catches you". Can someone confirm that one of these ideas are working? These bug makes the game as speacialy on railcar mission unplayable... you cant see anything at the stations because its too bright.

No replies? I have the same problem. Game is close to unplayable. I can't believe they haven't fixed this yet as people started reporting it a long time ago.

try letting the battery run out

if the battery is empty, the nightvision will be deactivated... but if you charge the battery again, the nightvision turns on automatically

yeah, I just got this glitch yesterday and there is no fix from what I've seen, apart from just never picking up the nightvision goggles. I just let the battery run out and am continuing on without a flashlight. The game is almost always bright enough so that it's not necessary anyway

Someone said something about cycling through inventory stuff (like clipboard) in a specific order allowing them to remove the NVG.

I know probably nobody cares anymore, but I have found a solution. I don't know if it works in every scenario, but right clicking to aim down sights fixed it for me at the end of "Defense" when you enter the station with Sasha.

replying this game, I'm afraid this doesn't work for me. All i can do is to drain the batt.
Still thank you for sharing

Before a cutscene open the Board with the missiondetails and hold "N" while you see the compass, he does the animation of taking it off and you're good to go... i think, well it worked for me.

I think this actually fixed it for me, Artyom's animation removed the goggles even though he wasn't wearing them.

Can confirm. Holding up the objectives clipboard fully then pressing 'N' works. (or whatever it is that activates nightvision for you). Make sure you charge up the NV first to put it back into error mode, then do it.

I had the same problem in the Trolley Combat level, the starting cutscene was done in NV which was irritating.

Something similar works for me, if you enter the "cutscene" (or area where you can't use weapons) holding the compass you evade to put the night vision :)
