One of the main reasons I bought the Redux bundle was to be able to play it without being completely broken when running on 3 screens, these devs have let us down as a community multiple times, you would think they would have some respect and fix little issues like this before the game was released.

You can make it windowed. Right click the game on steam, select Properties. Then click on the local files tab and select Brows local files. Find a file in the same directory as the .exe called User. Open it up, scroll down until you see Fullscreen. Select the opposite of what it currently says. No if it says Yes, or 0 if it is a 1. ( I can't actually see it right now because my save was wipe) You can also change the resolution manually from this file as well.

Yes, I know this is an option, that isn't the point, this game is supposed to fix a lot of the issues in the first set of games, why this hasn't been addressed is beyond me.

That did not actually seem to do anything, the game still didn't open in a window.

That did not actually seem to do anything, the game still didn't open in a window.

Mine made it windowed, to my left screen, in a quished res and apsect ratio, then stopped responding.

Is there a solution to this yet?

I cannot play in windowed mode even after chaning the config file.

O.K., I edited my post. I found the reason changing user.cfg wasn't working. It exists in TWO locations. I was changing the one in the game's root folder, while the real user.cfg is in (my example in Win10) "C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033\110000116728b00". The number on the end will likely be different obviously, but you get the idea.

Hey guys,

maybe someone have a idea how it works on a MAC? Im trying to go to m steam directory/steamapps/game, pacakges and locate the user.cfg and there i changed the mode r_fullscreen from on to off, but nothing is working, maybe here is the same like an Windows?
Maybe there is also two user.cfg ? But if yes, where can i find the second one?
