♥♥♥♥ don't work right.
The Problem: Crashes on startup, directly after the intro credits finish. No error.
PC Specs:
AMD 1090T OC'd to 3.6ghz

AMD 7950 Boost
AMD Driver 14.4 WHQL

Not sure what else could be helpful. Raptr with all overlays disabled. Xfire with all overlays disabled. Skype, Corsair Vengeance gaming software, Logitech gaming software, and Winamp are the only "active" apps running along side steam.
Inspiron 5520
3rd Gen i5-3210 GPU @ 2.5ghz

Benchmark appears to work, but the actual game does not.
Specs:

MSI Afterburner Version 3.0.1 + MSI VGA fan control
Asus Crosshair IV Formula Motherboard
Other stuff:
Display 1 (game display) 1920x1080, display 2: 1280x1024, Display 3: 1680x1050. (all driven from the GTX780)
Logitech G510 Keyboard
I did look around in the config file a little and noticed the default resolution was set to 1920x1200, which is higher then my display can handle, i changed it to 1920x1080 but the game still crashed, in safemode and normal mode. Doesnt matter if i let the cutscene just run or if i skip it, i just get a blank main display and then a crash to desktop. I tried running the benchmark tool also and managed to see a loading screen for about 2 seconds before it crashed back to desktop. Hope this helps.

Also tried to run it on my laptop, it crashed after playing the intro video for 1 second (the one before the intro video).

To anyone who has similar hardware than me, try it.
Update 2014-09-02: I don't think the new update was targeted at my perticular issue, but I can say that I still have the same problem. The game still won't work. This is getting rediculous.
Update 2014-08-28: Installed the two small updates for both Redux Games and nothing has changed. Same problem as before. However, I did get the steam installer message for LL Redux, but it only stay on for 2 seconds and then nothing gappens.
The game simply refuses to start on my laptop. When I click Play on the Steam Version of both Metro 2033 Redux and Last Light Redux, nothing happens. I tried running both executables as administrator and still nothing happens and running them in windows 7 compatibility mode doesn't help. I made sure that both games runs on my dedicated video card and everything seems fine. I also closed any program that may impact the game (such as Razer game booster). Nothing I do seems to help.
Judging by an other tread (Subject title: Won't even start), it seems that people with laptops have this problem.

Update:
I get this in dxdiag concerning the games, I don't know if it would be useful:
