Resolution issue

I have both metro redux games and the same problem on both. I recently put them on my onexplayer which has a max resolution of I think its 2500x1600, anyways I went back to play on my desktop which runs it fine at 4k but no matter what I do the max resolution I can change it to now is below 1440p I can't remember the exact resolution offhand but its like 2000x1000 right around there. I've tried changing it in both of the settings files with word pad and they change right back when I load the game, also tried completely removing the game and reinstalling it. I just recently started gaming after taking several years off and haven't played any of the metro games all the way through so if anyone knows how to fix it please let me know.

RTX 3090 TI LIQUID COOLED
12900 KS @5.4 ghz
4133 m,hz ddr4

no other game has this issue i forcved 1440p in the .cfg , reinstalled the game , unpluged all monitors but 1400p , reionstaled gpu drivers with ddu evrything 1920x1440 is max not 1440p main res as windows . nevber had this issue

I have tried every single fix I've found online and I still can't get it to my native resolution, same problem with both metro redux games. Very annoyed especially since it worked fine until I played it on my onexplayer
