Does the radio broadcast in Outpost level matter?

Somehow I missed picking up the cassette from that guy and broadcasting it from the top of the building in the next level Outpost. I'm a few levels ahead. I know it's necessary for an achievement but does it have any story implications in this game or in the series? I don't want to go back and re do the levels but I might if it matters.

I've already played the game once and I'm trying to get the good ending so I don't really care about spoilers.

It's an achievement and good karma points, that's it. You gotta get the tape from the commander at the beginning of the defense level after trolley combat.

If you haven't gotten the "good" ending then, yes, it definitely does matter. Getting the tape gives you a moral point and actually playing the tape in the outpost level gives you another moral point, so two (2) in total. Every point counts until you achieve the enlightened ending.

I think I've got all the other points except for those, how many do you need for the ending?

I don't know; I have never seen the answer to that question. How do you know you got all of the other ones. For example, did you get all seven (7) in the Black Station level? That one really stumped me for quite some time.
