Unfortunately this isn't it. There have been quite a few reports that drivers do still crash for SOME people even with physx turned off.
A few people reported having tesselation AND physx disabled helped, but again many people reported the crash still occuring.
And really, if we have to disable things like physx and tesselation, why are we playing this on a PC? We might as well have the inferior console version. At least it works.
So, happy that this works for you, but to other people; don't believe it is a guarantee. It's a possibility this will work for you, that's all.
Deep silver and 4A can now kiss my ass, I hate them both and will never buy from them ever again.
They ruined my favourite game of all time (2033, not last light, that wasn't as good), and then broke it.
Strange. But I will give it a try
realtek driver?
Here's mine is it the same as what you just updated?
thanks

SAM90,
I also play with Advanced PhysX off, SSAA off, Tesselation normal everything else max'd and have minor game issues.
All were solved by restarting the PC and game or restarting a chapter do to a bad game save.
I know they suck, but it was a cheap motherboard. Still should be compatible, since I played the original with it AND last light.
Drivers are definitely up to date. Although I find it hard to imagine how an audio driver can cause video drivers crashes due to physx? Seems highly unlikely at best.
Even though I just built my gamingPC my driver was out of date.
I guess I am out of luck then because I am using some VIA trash, and latest driver they made was in late 2012. Grrrr ....
@ wobbler I wholeheartedly agree with your first post, my suggestion was only to those who have constant crashes and I was only trying to help them make their game at least stable and playable. It sucks if 4A and Deep Silver abandoned support like that, If they did, then this bundle will be the last bundle that I purchase from them ...
I am looking forward for a PhysX fix from them, because it make the effects look awesome .
If people thought it would 100% work and then it didn't, they would be here trashing you. You know how these forums can get when people are pissed.
No I still can't use advanced PhysX.
I also have SSAA turned off, all other setting max'd with no V-sync and both games are stable.
I had my doubts, but good to know for sure.
