For the guys who have driver crashes in-game with Nvidia GPUs ...
Hello Guys !

I just purchased this game & LL but had the infamous freeze and driver crash issues with my Nvidia GPU...
I find out the problem is caused by Advanced PhysX. If you tried other things and didn't work, that might worth a try. Yesterday my card crashed after 15 minutes of gameplay while PhysX was on. Today I played for 60 minutes without PhysX and the system was perfectly stable during the gameplay.

Hope this fix your issues.

For those who don't know where PhysX option is located :

Go to Options ==> Game Options ==> untick Advanced PhysX

Enjoy!

I haven't bothered playing since the update that started causing this crash, and I knew they would abandon the game immediately after release. I was hoping for a workaround.
Unfortunately this isn't it. There have been quite a few reports that drivers do still crash for SOME people even with physx turned off.
A few people reported having tesselation AND physx disabled helped, but again many people reported the crash still occuring.
And really, if we have to disable things like physx and tesselation, why are we playing this on a PC? We might as well have the inferior console version. At least it works.
So, happy that this works for you, but to other people; don't believe it is a guarantee. It's a possibility this will work for you, that's all.
Deep silver and 4A can now kiss my ass, I hate them both and will never buy from them ever again.
They ruined my favourite game of all time (2033, not last light, that wasn't as good), and then broke it.

Try updating your audio drivers it worked for me i sent deep silver my crash logs and they promptly replied back with update my realtek audio from realtek and so far so good no more game crash or freeze.
It worked for the video driver crash?
Strange. But I will give it a try
I just checked and can't find a newer audio driver for my system.

SAM90,
I also play with Advanced PhysX off, SSAA off, Tesselation normal everything else max'd and have minor game issues.
All were solved by restarting the PC and game or restarting a chapter do to a bad game save.

min is version 6.00.0001.7246 dated 5/14/2014 realtek high definition audio can get from here http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#High Definition Audio Codecs

Also do the instage update once downloaded click the file let it uninstall your drivers, then reboot upon reboot it will install the new ones, it will and should keep your custome audio stuff. your name might change if you have waves maxx audio, to maxxaudio 4, if you dont have that then you will get some good audio as i like maxxaudio.
Mine isn't realtek, it's via.
I know they suck, but it was a cheap motherboard. Still should be compatible, since I played the original with it AND last light.
Drivers are definitely up to date. Although I find it hard to imagine how an audio driver can cause video drivers crashes due to physx? Seems highly unlikely at best.

not sure but its what they had me do and it worked.

Thanks for the link.
Even though I just built my gamingPC my driver was out of date.

So you guys updated your Realtek HD Audio and it worked with PhysX without issues?
I guess I am out of luck then because I am using some VIA trash, and latest driver they made was in late 2012. Grrrr ....

@ wobbler I wholeheartedly agree with your first post, my suggestion was only to those who have constant crashes and I was only trying to help them make their game at least stable and playable. It sucks if 4A and Deep Silver abandoned support like that, If they did, then this bundle will be the last bundle that I purchase from them ...
I am looking forward for a PhysX fix from them, because it make the effects look awesome .

Yeah, I get it you're trying to help. I didn't want to come across like I was disagreeing with you, just that for some it doesn't work.
If people thought it would 100% work and then it didn't, they would be here trashing you. You know how these forums can get when people are pissed.

No I still can't use advanced PhysX.
I also have SSAA turned off, all other setting max'd with no V-sync and both games are stable.
So it wasn't related to an audio driver?
I had my doubts, but good to know for sure.
