help, stuck no ammo, any cheats?

i seen folks make it happen on metro 2033. they change value in user.cfg file, located in games directory.
but it doesnt work for me. Im playing on ranger difficulty, and id like to reset difficulty. I got a bit far, but i dont want to restart. I have no ammo, i think im screwed.

no cheats, search more, get good.

Walk with open eyes, and pick up the tons of ammo you find.

the simplest and easiest way to survive thru the campaign is to stealth. a lot. conserve ammo for inevitable monster slaughtering events, but try to sneak everywhere else and use throwing knives and helsing pneumatic gun, which ammo you can pick up to use again.

i can deal with that but honestly, The fov is very small. Im willing to forgive the devs for that, because i love the story.
But honestly, these little things become very nerve-racking. Their should be more options for the player to interchange things. Be able to save the game anytime would be a plus, but thats something else.

FOV can be adjusted, there's a community guide for that. stuttering is annoying but i could get used to it.
they had a problem with changing difficulty in original LL, so no surprise it stays the same in this edition. and checkpoint system is total crap, i agree. sometimes you can fall to your death and alas - there was no checkpoint before - let's start over from the beginning.

its alright thanks though, I thought why not swap my savegames with someone elses?
thats what i did. I googled 2033 redux save games, got one off some forums. I beat the game yesterday. 10/10

...a little late my answer, but to have more ammo by cheating install Cheat Engine and you could have 9999 high grade ammo, and for hud and crosshair disable in ranger dificulty is easy. Place a very small stiker, a point from yellow or red paper in the middle of the screen and you have again crosshair...easy...this stiker save me a lot in GR Future Soldier when was raining with electric EMP grenades that disable the hud... Could be take like a cheat, but hey is my screen, i like to have a red point in the middle...ha ha.
