Metro 2033 Redux / nVidia 5070 Ti. A LOT of problems(
I am using a recent Ryzen and a 5070 Ti and Metro 2033 does not work in any usable way, whatever I try.

The game does not launch at all, it crashes every time before entering the menu.
- Solution: force windowed mode via ini

The game starts now, but freezes during the intro.
- Solution: delete intro movies, replace with empty files

Now the game launches well, sometimes. Sometimes though, it is extremely slow and laggy - UNLESS you have a different window (like the task manager) in the foreground. Then it runs smoothly, but as soon as you focus the game: 0.5-1 fps.
- Solution: Hoping for good luck, restarting

Now
it finally runs. Yay!

But it runs extremely slow, maybe around 20 FPS.
- It's PhysX and the new 5xxx gen! - nope, I turned it off, no change
- It's DX11 Tesselation! - nope, turning it off changes nothing.
- It's SSAA! - nope, turning it off changes nothing.
- It's my specs! - nope, Cyberpunk runs in 4K path tracing and Metro keeps 20 gps even on low settings.

....so.... No fullscreen, random slowdowns and unplayably bad framerates.
Any more ideas how to fix the game?

Are you using SSAA? Don't

I completed the game without any issues running on a RTX 3060 with 6 GB VRAM while in full screen mode. Keep in mind that settings which work in one game may not work in others even though you have the most current GPU series. Even played this with a browser window open listening to a streamer. I was able to maintain an average FPS of 60 and never saw it go below 50

I only had one crash which is most likely due to a random game bug, just restarted that particular area and cleared without issue the second time.

Likely a group of settings you haven't tried yet to for the best possible result. Not just game settings but the individual GPU settings and those in windows related to graphics and performance.

== SOLUTION ==

The current driver situation of nVidia sucks. Hotfix driver 576.26 fixed all problems.
I will say that with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500, RTX-2060 (6 GB GDDR6) and 32 GB DDR4 RAM my system is maxed out with high settings at 1080.
Nvidia cards should basically not use anything newer than something like 566 (last november IDK?) but that doesn't work with 5000 cards, hoping the newest two releases addressed some of their issues.

Though iirc Metro still never played nice nice with anything past ampere, especially in terms of RT scaling and OC/stability. They really need to have a proper (nvidia funded) DLSS 4 upgrade to the engine since Exodus EE was such a (nvidia funded) testbed engine for DLSS 2.
