Cursed Station Crashing

I blew up the tunnel and then lit the charges on the top floor. Upon detonation of the top floor the games crashes. I thought the redux version was supposed to remove game breaking bugs. I really want to like/enjoy the game, but am unable to if I cannot progress due to bugs.

Maybe post system specs and game settings, try turning off phsyx and just sprinting through to checkpoints. Reload chapter?

RAM : 12GB @ 1600MHZ

SSD: Sandisk Ultra 2 480GB

I've sprinted through the chapter multiple times blowing up the tunnel with the gas jug and then blowing up the top floor. I even have the steam achievement for blowing up the cursed station, but it crashes every time. I've been watching youtube vids and my game crashes every time when the NPC is supposed to start convo/cutscene and exit the station at the end where the shadows were blocking the exit.

Hey meowmix(or anyone) did you ever solve this problem? i am experiencing the same problem.

I ended up reloading the chapter after not being able to complete the level on the original save. (after running through the area multiple times I basically became an expert on the cursed station) After I reloaded I proceeded to "speedrun" through the area, to which I ran over to the gas jug and blew up the other tunnel, then ran up the stairs and blew up the support pillars, then made sure to wait a few seconds before going back down the stairs. I think the "waiting a few seconds" part may be key here, as you might have to wait for the NPC to advance a significant distance towards the stairway you are supposed to walk down so that the game doesn't crash. He will then clear a path so that the spirits blocking the exit do not kill you.

Disabling PhysX worked for me.

Whoever plays this game in 2024 still, like me and running into this issue. The solution is to WAIT for Khan to "catch up" after the second explosion on top of the stairs is correct. I was kinda speed running by default because i don't like the level which is an issue that leads to this bug.

After multiple restarts, booting into safe mode, and disabling PHYSX this was what actually let me progress. I figured blow up the airlock and run back to the group, just had to wait.

Interesting. Was played the Redux version a few weeks ago at a friend's house and had the same problem.

I'll keep this in mind when I buy the game myself when it goes on sale again.
