Safe in Lost Catacombs

[Cannibal Holiday]

I found a safe in Lost Catacombs behind a wall of damage-dealing steam. Can't find a way to get to it though. I got a key off a body a little earlier, so I'm assuming it's for this safe.
Is it a red herring or can I get to it?

I remember turning a valve to get rid of the steam. It should be on the pipes by the wall.

Ha! Thanks. I didn't even notice the ones on that wall. I was looking out in the bench area. :)

I think you can wear it in Metro LL though :D

I played LL first and don't remember it in the main game, but there's a suit you need in the Library DLC. Figured I'd go back and play this one first before I dove too deep into the DLC content :)

I think you put it on at the part where you travel through the swamp with the airplane and gas station.

You get it after Venice in LL, right before the swamp. I think the guys name is vlad? The station cheif told him not to cause trouble when he invited Artyom to raid the Reds.

As mentioned, it is also in Library DLC (or the armor). No suits or armor in 2033... anymore
