gasmask on xbox one pad?

did anyone know, how to use the gasmask on pad?

To equip it, hold the LB button and press X. To wipe the mask once its on just tap LB. Im not sure if thats how it is on PC but thats how it works on the Xbone version for me.

Just bought this game and I can't get past the first room where the "dogs" jump from the second floor cause I couldn't find how to equip that mask.

Maybe I'll enjoy playing that game now if this work. Thanks for the hint!

Thank you and despite the fact it is six years old, it helped me. I played it on the Xbox 360 but just purchased Exodus but wanted to go back and play the original w/the DLC.

Your post is highly needed b/c the manual nor the in-game controller shows how to put it on and wipe it. Once again thank you and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
