is this just Metro 2033 with the graphics of Last Light?

It actually looks worse than the original. The original was dark and gritty with realistic lighting. This has obnoxious bright white lights all over the place. This is the inferior version. Metro 2033 is a great game though.

Both games are updated quite a lot. New 64bit rendering engine and a new global illumination lighting technique looks good. Light reacts in a more realistc manner instead of just putting a blue or orange haze on everything like before. The art style of the monsters and character models have been changed to somthing more like Last Light. Levels have been rearranged, things are more dense. Some levels from the original have been combined into a single huge level. There is new stashes to find. The guns have been updated and the voice acting is still the same. 5guys is just a troll.

I wonder because I have played Metro 2033 about eight times. I love it but I think I have finished with it now. Rebuying the same game would be a waste. Metro Redux would have to be different in more ways.

I started Last Light yesterday and am astonished by the graphics and the game play. I mean you can actually kill an enemy with one bullit, which is new. However I don't know if just those improvements on 2033 would be enough.

Since there is also a Redux for Last Light the original game is not a port to the Last Light graphics. Both games are remastered even more to the newest engine enhancements.

Yeh but they say the Last Light Redux is only very minor changes. Many pro-reviews say there is no real point anyone with Last Light, buying LL Redux. Whereas they promote Metro Redux. They say if you don't have either of the games get the Redux versions.
