How to: Skip "Legal" Intro

1. Go to x86/Steam/Steamapps/common/Metro 2033 Redux/2033 (or Metro Last Light Redux)
2. Rename Legal.ogv to something else.
3. Create a blank text document and name it Legal.ogv

Run game.

Note: If you do not create a blank Legal.ogv file the game will crash and will NOT launch.

I don't think there is a way to skip right to the sitting down. It doesn't cause a crash for me. Is the game crashing for you otherwise?

BETTER WAY for those that dont have file extensions showing:

Open the legal.ovg file in Notepad (or preferrably wordpad, it loads faster), hit ctrl+a then hit delete. Then save. Ta daaa

Works with most games. Just delete the file. However u may need to set your game properties in Steam to not auto update. Otherwise Steam may simply re-download missing files. Re-naming a file would do the same thing as delete really; is this sort of case.

If 4A Games updates Redux, u should be able to easily see this. Either Steam will list update in your Download Queue, just not auto-download. Or you can find out via Game News.

If future updates do get applied, u will need to rename/delete this same file again, as Steam would've redownloaded it most likely due to the rename/delete u've done. But yes it's easy way to skip such movies, as it is just a movie file.

I wonder why they keep making the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing with intro. Or they just think every time we enter the game they must remind us that the game called METRO 2033 and it's made by 4AGAMES.

For me works this workaround: When the game is launched, then press ALT+TAB and enter the game again, press any key or mouse click and it appears directly in the options menu, all intros skipped and nothing was modified...

Don't know about you guys but after creating blank videos all I need to do is click and it's at the part where he's sitting down.
