Using the Benchmarking Utility

To start the benchmarking utility for Metro 2033: Redux, navigate to the "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Metro 2033 Redux\" folder and find the executable named metro_benchmark.exe". Note that the scene used here is different from the scene in the benchmarking utility of Metro: Last Light, so you can expect different results.

Once you have launched the benchmarking tool, you can create a new preset to use by clicking the Create new preset button. It looks like this.[i.imgur.com]

To ensure consistency across all benchmarks posted here, I would recommend that you use the following settings:

Preset Settings

Resolution: 1920x1080
Quality: Very High
SSAA: Off
Texture Filtering: AF 16X
Motion Blur: Normal
Tesselation: Very High
VSync: Off
Advanced PhysX: Off
Runs: 1

As AMD cards do not support Advanced PhysX, I feel that it is best to leave this disabled for these benchmarks. Similarly, SSAA should also be kept off as it is a very high load process with minimal noticeable impact on resolutions of this size.

Posting Your Results

Once the benchmarking process has completed, a window will pop up in your default browser listing the results of the benchmark. When posting your benchmarks in the comments here, begin by copying the Options: section at the top, followed by the Total Frames, Average Framerate, Max. Framerate, and Min. Framerate. Be sure to also list your PC's specs as well, including your Operating System, CPU, GPU, RAM, and Hard Drive, along with any other additional notes.
