bug with gas helmet ?

In the stage "Black Station" I can't breathe without a mask. When i meet Ulman and he gives me the rifle i want to put off my gas mask and im starting to choke. Wtf is going on, theres no way i could pass this lvl on hard mode wearing mask throughout the entire stage. Is this a bug or the requirement of a level of difficulty. I'm going through this game 3rd time and this is first time when I see something like that. Can somebody help me? I tried allready load the game and reinstall the game, didnt work.

Try to restart from the previous chapter?

At the beginning cut scene, you require the gas mask. Once you actually start the mission by entering the station itself, you do not.

yea i know its obvious, but it was bugged, i needed it everywhere, if I putted her off, I suffocated. i needed to restart from the previous chapter as nocturne said . only that solved the problem
