Cloud sync doesn't work in this game?
I played through about half the chapters on my laptop and on my desktop, I can't select them. So I logged back into Steam on my laptop, checked the game Properties, then Updates tab and at the bottom, Enable Steam Cloud sync is on but shows "0 bytes stored". I disabled then reenabled it and it doesn't sync, at all??!?!?!

There is a thread on here that may help, deals with manually resyncing steam's cache or something.

Thanks, I tried that. Now in my Documents\4A Games\Metro 2033 folder (on Windows 10), I see the original folder with a series of numbers and the save files and the new folder matching my steam id and it has files.

Played the game, the old folder gets the updated files but these do not get synced because they game wants to sync using the new one using my steam id.

Yes, that is happening. So I guess I need to manually copy the files from the old one to the new one depending on when I'm playing on Desktop or Laptop so they get synced.
